Pet care experience
I owned a dog up until I was eight years old, and had cats all my life, and have been the go-to pet sitter for my family and friends. I have sat for dogs and cats of all ages and sizes. I have plenty of energy to play with them, and am responsible enough to make sure their needs are being met. This includes their diet, hydration, exercise, and grooming. Walks are super fun too! Dogs like to explore, and so do I! Cats are unique because they all have a specific personality, and I have always found it fun to experience them. Pets love their humans unconditionally. It is my belief they deserve the very same from us, which is what I am offering to your "fur baby!"

Kristina stayed with our cat and dog while we were on vacation and I would highly recommend her to any Rover users! We got frequent updates and pictures of our guys and we could tell they were well taken care of! She also took great care of our apartment and left it in perfect shape. Her responsiveness was always quick and helpful.
Kristina was very helpful and gave updates whenever possible about the timeline of taking care of the pup!

When I enter your home, I assess the energy level or your pet. From there, I figure out how to best play with them, or maybe just find the comfiest spot to give them lots of pets. I always check to make sure they have clean water every single time, and will also check to see if any "gifts" for left so that I can clean up if necessary. Other than that, I will be sure to follow any food/walk/bathroom instructions you leave!

Before sitting a dog, I would like to know his or her daily routines. When are they used to eating? Playing? Walking? Napping? Any personality quirks? (For instance, my dog would only go to the bathroom in one specific spot in the yard.) I will work with any breed, but I have especially sat for Labs, Golden Retrievers, Jack Russels, Poodles, Terriers, and Keeshonds.
A typical day
If we are going on a walk, we might take a turn around the neighborhood or check out the local park. For playtime, you can't go wrong with a great game of fetch, or maybe a tug of war.

Though I work full time now, I try to pet sit on the weekends because I just love it so much! It was my main source of income in college, but now it is something I do purely because I enjoy time with animals.
