Pet care experience
Hi! I have been surrounded by and have taken care of animals (dogs, horses, cats, birds, rabbits) since I was little. I was a dogwalker when I was a teenager and later in life, I did some volunteer and also paid work on horseranches which included taking care of horses, but also of dogs and cats. I am fairly new to Calgary and want to spend more time with animals while working and also exploring new neighborhoods and areas. I don't have any pets on my own at the moment, want to keep it that way due to Rover :) I have been doing dog/housesits through Rover consistently since October and I have been absolutely loving it. Happy about anyone who reaches out and also very curious to take care/learn about different breeds, continue learning about dogs and dogcare in general. Prefer housesits and am open for walks and drop-ins too. :) Please no requests for any bookings after August - this is on pause due to an uncertain visa situation! Thank you:)

Kristina looked after our two dogs (Golden Retriever and Pomeranian) while we were away for two weeks. She sent regular updates and was always very quick to respond. The dogs were happy and healthy when we returned home and we'd absolutely book with her again! I should also mention that our home was clean and laundered when we returned which was an added bonus!
Kristina took amazing care of our pup and cat, and we came back to a spotless home. Highly recommend her as a dogsitter and will definitely be using Kristina again
Kristina always goes above and beyond! Even on shorter visits she is extremely helpful around the house and extra attentive to our dog. :)
Kristina did a great job keeping us updated on how things were going. She was very responsive, sent photos and left our home as clean and tidy. Would recommend and will use her services again in the future.

I have experience with house- and petsitting at various places and with a different platform as well, and can offer those reviews on request. Everyone was very happy so far. I'm a quiet and responsible person, don't smoke or drink, and I mostly keep to myself. I will be the happiest when I can spend the time at your place showering your pet in affection and cuddles, (until it can't take it anymore), going for walks, staring into my laptop (until I can't take it anymore), and I'm a person that values and appreciates space and peace for herself very much. I will do my best to make sure you have nothing to worry about and - if wanted and appreciated - I like sending updates and/or photos daily.

Let me know if you have any special requests, I'm sure I can assist with it. I could imagine taking your dog on a run, but that's optional and is only something I would do if the dog is comfortable and in the mood for that.
A typical day
I love taking photos of landscapes and the city in general, and I enjoy walking around new areas and neighborhoods. If your dog is up for that, I could imagine going on a 2-3h walk and take my camera along. My favorite places here so far: Nose Hill, Bowness, St. Patricks's Island

Availability
I'm working remotely, and for most things, I only need my laptop, so my schedule is very flexible and I can build my day mostly around your pet (walk, feeding schedule etc.), with very few exceptions. I am open for housesitting (which I prefer) but also walks and drop-ins. I have just recently started driving and have been tied to public transport for the past couple months, so am a lot more flexible now!
