Pet care experience
My husband and I have fostered 11 dogs the past few years since our kids all went off to college, and our last foster is now ours forever. Several of our fosters have been elderly or have had special needs. I grew up with dogs & cats and have had my own dogs and fosters all of my adult life.

Kristy is THE best dog sitter EVER. She was positive, patient and kind with our senior dog, Clarissa. Now matter what our golden girl threw at Kristy, she took it in stride with remarkable compassion and professionalism. You want Kristy taking care of your loved ones. They are in the most capable hands.
Kristy was fabulous! I feel so fortunate to have found her. The animals all loved her. She stayed in our home with them for a week. It all went perfectly smoothly. I recommend Kristy very highly.
Kristy is wonderful! I have 2 dogs and we had our Meet 'n' Greet and spent some time getting to know each other (Kristy, her hubby, my gurrrls and me). They just loved her and she and I were totally on the same page so I felt very comfortable right away. I figured it would be hard for me to leave my girls with a 'virtual stranger' but she put my mind at ease and my fears to rest. We talked more leading up to my departure and every day I was away. She sent photos of my girls doing what they normally when I'm there so they weren't stressed at all or in any way. That helped a lot! When I have plans to go away again, I will be contacting Kristy early for her availability! She's the best for my girls! ?? Thanks so much!
Kristy was our dog, Fentons, foster parent before we adopted him. She is the most caring and compassionate pet owner! Fenton had a broken leg and Kristy was diligent in getting the care he needed to heal properly. She has been such a blessing to our family and Fenton! Highly recommend her to care for your furbaby- they couldn’t be in better hands!

I am free to walk, feed, and care for dogs most days, and will consider overnights after a successful meet and greet with your dog. Hoping to develop a small canine clientele that will enjoy my husband and I, and hopefully our dog Enzo too.

Let me know if there are any special needs or behaviors about your dog so that we both enjoy our time together. Also please let me know about any challenges that could be a safety concern such as food or treat restrictions, biting, aggression toward animals or humans, or if you have an extremely strong dog who is a leash puller who may be stronger than me.
A typical day
We like to walk on the paths near Gilcrest Park and Fishermans Village, or play fetch in the yard or at the dog park if your dog enjoys that. If your dog is a couch potato that just loves attention and cuddles then count us in. Enzo enjoys other dogs who aren’t too hyper or aggressive, but also plays well with puppies that will chill out when the old dog has had enough playtime.

Availability
We have retired in the past couple of years and are now ready to take on FUN part time jobs. We are in FL Sept-Oct and in Pentwater MI in summers. We will consider traveling a further distance for pet/house sitting in your home for extended bookings. For short bookings such as drop ins and walks we prefer to stay around Punta Gorda.
