The past year has been my first as a cat care taker. I have 3 outside cats named Cleo, Simba, and Jasmin. The cat allergies became too much to handle in this apartment 24/7, so we created a dwelling for them on the front porch. They LOVE playing in the grass and being photographed. A few years ago I lost my best friend since 5th grade. Lady was a Spitz mix dog and more human than most. She was 17years old when her muscle control failed. My Mom advised me that she was in too much pain to carry on and that it would be selfish to make her continue on in such misery. She refused to take her medicine most of the time. I was able to sneak it into her treats but eventually even the medicine stopped helping her. We went to the vet and was advised by professionals that Lady needed compassionate release. She died in my arms in 2015 and my heart hasn't been ready to take in any new dogs since. This app seemed like a good way to reconnect with the dog person in me and fight my depression. If you need someone who will truly care for your dog, I would benefit greatly from that opportunity. Cats are also welcome if a crate is provided for overnights.
