My name is Kristina and I am currently a teacher in Montgomery County. *due to my dog getting older and having less patience towards our furry house guests, I am moving my services to mostly house-sitting at my client’s house. I enjoy an active lifestyle (hiking, going for walks/runs, bike rides, etc) and I bring my dog along as often as possible! I have a rescue dog named Tucker who is 9 years old. He's scared of everything so I'm very comfortable with dogs who are timid or shy. He enjoys being around dogs that are confident and playful - they tend to bring him out of his shell at little bit. In my family, we have always had multiple dogs, I've been taking care of multiple dogs at a time for years now. I love all dogs, big and small and have taken my dog through the training process as well as group classes to keep his skills fresh. Since I have been through a lot of training with my own dog, I feel that I have a good understanding of dog behavior. I'm responsible, punctual, and caring. I would love to meet your 4 legged-friends!

Kristina was very punctual on meet n greets and for two times pet sitting in home for our beloved ShihTzu. She is a dog lover and very attentive and we felt so at ease knowing that she was caring for and giving our dog daily play, food and a long walk of the 3x a day taking him out. She leaves her big dog at her home with her boyfriend, since that dog isnt great w other little dogs. Very respectful of her. The place was left clean and she texted photos and updates daily as well as a number ce handwritten note. The highly recommended her!

I treat my client’s home as my own. I am happy to stay at my client’s home to watch their dogs if they prefer. I am very tidy and I always make sure to keep your pet’s routine the same. I am very patient and understand that it can be very stressful for dogs to be without their owners. I always ask to do a meet and greet at your home to go over any important information!

Before meeting a dog I would like to know about their attitude toward other dogs/people. As there are usually many people out in my neighborhood. I will ask about their general behavior on leash and any commands that they know. Their schedule - food and bathroom - are always important information as well as any medical issues.
A typical day
I provide lots of playtime in the house/yard! I also love to walk through Rock Creek Park. There are many different trails within a 5 minute walk of my house. I know a variety of easy walking trails and dog-friendly hikes as well! If dogs are comfortable going, I frequent the local dog parks as well. If you have a particular route that your dog likes to travel around your neighborhood, I am happy to keep it consistent! I love a good long walk :)

Availability
During the summer, I have a lot of flexibility with my schedule for whatever your dog needs! I can provide potty and play/walk breaks every hour or every 6 hours depending on your dog’s schedule.
