Availability
I work from home, have a fenced in yard and pet door for dogs under 35 pounds. If your dog is able, I also go on daily dog walks. Dogs are able to sleep in the bedroom either in their crate or on a bed provided by the owner. If your dog needs a bathroom break during the night, I am able to take them out at night.

Safety, trust & environment
If I am not at home, your dog will be gated in a room or crated (crate provided by you) depending on what they are accustomed to. There are rugs both inside and outside doors to help older dogs navigate going in and out. Dogs are fed separately. Visiting dogs are kept separated from resident at the beginning until everyone adjusts then are allowed to meet face to face. Visiting dogs are not left alone with resident dogs unattended.

Information Kristina G. would like to know about your pet
Please describe your dog's special needs to determine if my skills and previous experience match up with what your dog needs for care. Older dogs given a lot of grace due to loss of sight and sound.
A typical day
While working from home, there are a variety of dog beds for lounging. We take short breaks in the back yard during the day. After work we get outside with walks, when possible, and lots of yard chores. Dogs are fed at 7 am and 5-6 pm.

Specialize in seniors & medical
Pet care experience
Preference given to super senior dogs, those with medical needs and those needing special care. This is a labor of love I give to others who have special needs dogs like I have. Examples: - Senior dogs with incontinence issues, vision issues, reduced hearing, pills, eye drops, etc - Younger dogs with health issues such as diabetes, epilepsy, anxiety. Owners are required to 1. Do perimeter check of the yard for security and provide guidance if their dog needs special security procedures. 2. Provide detailed instructions on dog's daily care. Label medications clearly with administration information. 3. Provide crate, potty pads, belly bands or such, if needed for incontinence. 4. Agree to daily check in phone calls or messages. If you need someone to watch your dog for just a few hours on a single day, contact me and I can adjust the dog daycare rate to accommodate a shorter period of time. This is a quiet, calm, structured house that works well for seniors. If you have a SMALL, young puppy we might consider care for a few hours or days. We adore Westies and similar terriers.
