I am currently a working professional, but my past experience in pet care includes summers working at a dog day care and a grooming salon. I am a self-educated hobbyist dog trainer and dog nerd. I spend nearly all of my free time with my dog, Ollie, training tricks, obedience behaviors, and nosework or going hiking/walking. I am constantly listening to doggy podcasts and taking webinars to stay up to date on dog behavior science and R+ methods. I have experience with dogs of varied sizes, ages, and temperaments.

Kristin is a friendly, reliable and caring dog sitter. She often took care of our dog, Yogi, both at her place and ours. Some of the stays were for extended periods of time while we were away. She followed Yogi’s schedule providing him with walks, meals and of course treats! She asked for the commands we used with him so she could use them too. Kristin was always reliable and kept her commitments with us. She also provided us with texts and photos of Yogi while we were away, letting us know how Yogi was doing. She was very loving with our dog and related extremely well with him. At some point, Yogi needed special care for his eyes requiring them to be washed and medicated. After showing Kristin this routine, she provided this care when Yogi was with her. Best of all, at our home or hers she provided Yogi with snuggles, played with him and let him sit next to her while she worked so he always had company. Kristin is a very responsible person. One time she called us to let us know she thought Yogi was not feeling well to get his vet’s number just in case he seemed to need medical care. Kristin now has her own dog and reads a lot about the best ways to relate to her pet. We have spent time with her dog and he is a wonderful dog.
I had an amazing experience with Kristin as my pet sitter. She took care of my schnauzer, Snoodles, and did an outstanding job. Snoodles quickly became friends with her dog, Ollie, which was great to see. Kristin was professional, attentive, and followed all instructions. She kept me updated with texts and photos, which was reassuring. Her home was clean and safe, providing a comfortable environment for Snoodles. It is also helpful to know what commands your dog knows. Ideally, an emergency contact number and vet number is great too.
A typical day
A typical day with my dog, Ollie, includes an hour walk first thing in the morning, followed by breakfast and sunbathing/bird watching in the yard. Then, a quick walk around the field next to our house around 10am. In the afternoon we do puzzle games and training and have a big playtime session in the yard. You can have your dog join us in as many of these activities as you want, or they can just hang out and be a dog!

I work from home with a very flexible schedule. Daycare is offered at my home on weekdays. Drop-off/pick-up times between 7am and 7pm are preferred.
