Former vet assistant turned remote clinical research worker with a flexible schedule to care for your pets. I am comfortable with all types of pets, at all ages, but have a special place in my heart for the seniors. I’ve had dogs since I was a kid and currently have a senior dog and a senior cat. During college I volunteered and interned at many rescues such as the SPCA of Wake County, Carolina Tiger Rescue, the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue and Rehabilitation Center, the UNCW Marine Mammal Stranding Program, SkyWatch Bird Rescue and a small exotic animal hospital. I was a kennel keeper and then veterinary assistant for many years at both a small animal hospital and a cat hospital. I am comfortable administering medications and walking large and reactive dogs.
