I absolutely adore animals of all kinds, dogs and cats specifically. I've had three dogs growing up; a mut, Bodi, and Godlen Retriever, Chester and a Morky, Boche, and since going away to school I've become the proud mom of two adorable felines, Barry and Frankie. I just graduated from Eastern Michigan University last April with a degree in Communications and Theatre Arts. Since graduating, I've been taking up as many theatre internships as possible and am currently the Arts Administration Intern for The Penny Seats Theatre Company in Ann Arbor. Luckily, a lot of what I do for them is marketing, so as long as I have a place with wifi, I'm good to do my work from anywhere. They're also very flexible in their hours for me, allowing me to take breaks in the middle of the morning/afternoon to spend some time with some pups and/or kitties. I try to stay as active in local theatre as possible, which also includes being a part of shows. That being said, there will be nights that I will have either rehearsals or a show, but neither should take up more that 4 hours total; making sure your pets aren't left alone or without a potty break for longer than they need to. Growing up my brother and I had a pet sitting business called, "Paws N'Claws." We would bet sit for neighbors, family and friends and our responsibilities were those of whatever the owner gave us. Typically including feeding them two to three times a day, walking them the appropriate amount and simply spending time with them and playing so they get their proper exercise and attention that they would normally get while their owner is home. My biggest priority when pet sitting is keeping their schedule as normal as possible. I understand that any change in an animal's schedule can throw them off, and not having their owners home can be enough to make their behaviors change. So it's very important to me that I do whatever I can to, not only make you feel comfortable while you're away, but make your pets feel comfortable too. Aside from my internship and doing a few shows here and there, pet sitting has become my primary job since graduating and I could not be happier about that. I've always had a love for animals and wanted to do whatever I could to keep them all involved in my life and this has been the puuuurfect way to do so. I can promise that your fur babies will get all the love and attention that they deserve while you're away. After all, it's kinda like a vacation for them too!
