I’ve got love to spare
Pet care experience
I have always loved dogs and they seem to sense it. 5 years ago I was finally in a position to offer a good home with sufficient attention. So, I rescued four senior chihuahuas - 2 bonded pairs. Two of them had special needs and required a lot of care. Sadly I lost them both within the past few months and my house and heart now have excess capacity. I have dog sat for pooches of all personality types and have been told by several owners that their anxious dogs seem comfortable with me. I would love to share my home with your special canine family member.

I think Nala had the best vacation ever with Kristin! She spent so much time with her and the other dogs she was taking care of. I think Nala had a blast! She made new friends, spent a lot of time playing outside and went on regular walks. She also had a lot of cuddling and quiet time when needed. I will definitely book Kristin again!
Kristin has been wonderful! My dog Millie was recovering from not feeling well and Kristin took very good care of her. Kristin made sure that Millie ate foods that would be okay for her stomach and got her to take her meds. I got lots of photos and videos of Millie having a great time.
I am so glad I found Kristin to care for my pup! Kristin took care of Edie for a week while I was away with my family and provided me with photo and video updates, as well as messages throughout the week. I could tell that my dog was very comfortable in Kristin's home. I will definitely book with Kristin again in the future!
We are so very grateful to have found Kristin to watch our sweet pup, Lilly! From the moment we were in contact with Kristin she was professional, caring, and thorough and that continued throughout Lilly's stay. Kristin provided regular updates with pictures & video, and it was evident that Lilly was having a blast and being well cared for. At the end of Lilly's stay Kristin provided the cutest report card of Lilly, which really signifies Kristin's extraordinary effort to get to know the dogs she sits for and the quality time she spends with them. We give Kristin our highest recommendation!

I have a large fenced yard. My inside accommodates pee pad users and I have two pee pad stations. Having cared for special needs dogs (including one blind and one brain damaged) I am unfazed by accidents. My two chihuahuas are friendly but I have space, gates and crates to adjust to everyone’s boundaries and comfort level. I have multiple spots to get cozy. I also have a stroller for little ones that may have mobility issues but don’t want to miss out on walks!

Information Kristin K. would like to know about your pet
I’d like to know about your dog’s temperament. Please let me know if your dogs have special needs. I have a lot of experience with my own special-needs, older dogs, including blindness, brain injury, and lameness. I am happy to carry small dogs in a pack or stroller. I am comfortable giving medicine. I would like to know if your dog is friendly to other small dogs (indifferent is fine too) and amenable to being introduced with intention and care for all. I can’t accommodate aggressive dogs.
A typical day
I have a large, sunny fenced in yard that my dogs like to explore. In addition I have a nice walking route around the neighborhood (I live on a busy street but the surrounding neighborhoods are quiet and have a lot of dogs on walks. My dogs prefer naps to a lot of play, and I would love for them to learn from a more playful type, so favorite toys are welcome. A very high energy dog who needs a lot of exercise is probably ok for weekends but might not be optimal on weekdays. I work from home weekdays and have time for at least one 30 minute walk in addition to regular bathroom and stretch breaks.

I work from home and have a flexible schedule. My daily routine already incorporates meals, walks, potty breaks and cuddles for my crew so I am used to daily care.
