Pet care experience
I grew up with English Springer spaniels and have spent the last 6 years helping care for friends’ cats and dogs, even fostering my own. I have worked with dog trainers to learn positive reenforcement techniques, clicker training, coping with doggie separation anxiety/distress, and more! I am comfortable with both young and old dogs and would love to get to know and care for your pet while you’re away!

Kristin has watched over my cat countless times while I’ve been away. She is caring, attentive, and respectful. I’ve also witnessed her care for many other animals, including a highly anxious foster dog that required special training and handling. Kristin can be trusted to honor your pet’s unique needs regarding personality and socialization while giving them the love and care that they deserve! My cat loves her so much that she has been granted the title of ‘auntie’.
Kristin is the most loving and kind person I know. She has had tons of experience with dogs of all needs. She is the most perceptive person I know, she is able to read energy really well and can understand quickly when a dog feels a certain emotion. She has a warm and special energy that all dogs seem to love; even dogs that have specific needs. She currently watches my dog once a week and is natural at handling energetic dogs.
Kristin is consistently wonderful to out sweet pup. Although he is a very laid back dog, she takes initiative in playing and taking him out for walks. She always keeps him on his schedule of meals and he is very excited to see her each time. It makes it easier to leave him home since he is in good care and he enjoys her so much!

I think it’s important to get to know a dog, develop trust, and understand what they are comfortable with - every pup is different and explores the world (and the people in it) at their own pace. I value safety and understand the importance of intentional meet-and-greets with other dogs (and not surprise intros!). I enjoy understanding your pup’s routines, favorite toys, and anything else to make them feel pampered and loved while you’re away!

It’s helpful for me to know your dog’s reactivities and triggers so I can keep them safe! I love to know their favorite treats, toys, or activities to make them feel most at home and comfortable.
A typical day
A typical day will always depend on your pups specific needs. It could include a long walk at the local park, tug in the backyard, indoor play, snuggles, or practicing tricks/other mental stimulation.

I currently work from home 2x a week and am available on weekends as well! I can supplement walks on days I work in office and am flexible with coming to you.
