Pet care experience
Growing up with an aging and increasingly ill dog made me super vigilant about everything an animal needs to be well taken care of. I’m used to pill feeding picky pups and handling up to 8 animals during one stay (phewf). I’m naturally super flexible when it comes to the clients life, so no worries on canceling last minute or asking for something extra to ensure your loved one is well taken care of. Back home in Chicago, my mom has taken care of eight foster dogs throughout the past five years, so I am very comfortable and patient with dogs in training! I get it, not seeing the top of the staircase can be scary! I work in law and am often at my office in downtown Minneapolis during the work week. I live with my boyfriend who works from home full time, so he is likely going to be spending more time with your pup during the work day than I will. We live only a few blocks from Lake of the Isles and my boyfriend very much appreciates being forced to take breaks throughout the day to walk around the lake with your pet(s)! Of course, we avoid this area when owners let us know their pets are most happy being walked in less populated areas. Kristin and Daniel were awesome! I think my dog might actually like them more than me.
This is the second time that we have used Kristin as our house/pet sitter. She is perfect. We trust her implicitly to look after our house as well as care for our dog and elderly cat who love her! Kristin is an excellent communicator who sent us texts, photos, and even a video of our pets while we were away. We returned home to a clean and tidy house and, even more importantly, to happy and healthy pets. Kristin is definitely our #1 choice for the next time we need a house/pet sitter!
Kristin is the perfect house/pet sitter for us! During her stay at our home, she followed our instructions "to a tee" and went above and beyond what we asked her to do! She is 100% reliable. We also appreciate her calm demeanor and affectionate attention to our cat and dog. My husband and I highly recommend Kristin and look forward to using her services in future.

I make sure to dog-proof our apartment before every visit! I like to keep a minimalist space anyway, but I do have some plants I know if bitten can be toxic to animals. I keep these plants out of reach from dogs (including the top of the refrigerator for a certain special German Shepard we routinely take care of who’s quite inquisitive…..)

We live on the third floor of an older apartment building, so I’d very much appreciate confirming ahead of time that your pet is comfortable going up and down stairs. It’s also helpful to know if your dog is a barker so I can alert my neighbors!
A typical day
We love to include the dogs into our daily routine! This most often looks like visiting local dog-friendly cafes and getting a treat from a barista, walking around the lakes, and or hanging out at home and watching tv if that’s more your dog’s speed. Happy to hang out and do whatever works best!

Availability
We wake up early in time to walk our visiting pets before the work day. My boyfriend works from home and will be with your pet the entire day. He enjoys the breaks in the middle of the day required to ensure your loved one can relieve themselves and get some exercise! We love hanging out at home with pets, whether you allow your pet on furniture and we can cuddle on the couch, playing with toys (we have an emergency stash in case you forget to bring some!), or going on walks around the lakes and visiting local dog friendly cafes.
