Pet care experience
**Currently, I'm accepting bookings for drop in visits and house sitting for cats or dogs.** Have you ever gone to a party and found you spent all your time with your host's pet instead of meeting new people? Me too. I would love to keep your pets company in your home, or on walks during the day as I currently can't have dogs in my own home. I know that being away from your pets can be stressful for human and animal alike, so I provide the type of care I would want someone to provide for my own. I love all pets, but do admit to having a soft spot in my heart for older cats and dogs. I have previous experience with a licensed and bonded pet services company, that included daily dog-walking, pet-sitting (overnight and during the day), and house-sitting services. I also previously volunteered at the Richmond SPCA, with cats and kittens who need extra attention and care. I have worked with cats, kittens, puppies, senior dogs, and all pups in between, and I am comfortable with all breeds. I look forward to meeting you and your pets!

Kristin was wonderful! She took great care of our dog and three cats while we were away for a few days. She was conscientious, provided us with updates and photos, and left detailed notes of what occurred each day. If she were not leaving our area, I would most definitely invite her back as a regular pet sitter.
Kristin was absolutely wonderful with my two pups! I contacted her just a couple of days before my scheduled trip and even though she was out of town she made plans to meet me at my house the morning I had to leave. She took extremely good care of my dogs, one of whom has a bit of anxiety and the other of whom is just a big baby :) I received daily updates and photos via text, which I so appreciated while I was on the road, and returned to detailed notes about their weekend together. I can't recommend her highly enough and will definitely be using her again when I have to go out of town.

It really helps me to know how your pet acts when they are happy and also when they are upset, so I know what cues to look for with them. For dogs, it is helpful to know what to look out for on a walk - do they need to smell every bush and tree? Do they not like to be approached by children? Are they not great with traffic sounds? Also, are you working on training for any specific behaviors that I can reinforce?
A typical day
We'll obviously stick to their routine to keep your pets happy while their humans are away, but I'm happy to spoil them with extra long walks or time at the dog park or their favorite spots.

I am currently working remotely on a flexible schedule, so I can visit your pets pretty much whenever works for their schedule. I can also work from your home if house-sitting is something you are interested in.
