I'd love to jog with your dog!
Pet care experience
~~~ PERSONAL EXPERIENCE - My husband Brett and I have female yellow American Labrador Retriever named Winnie. She is a ball of sunshine! We also have a male cream colored Goldendoodle named Bear. He is a sweetie pie! I previously had a 110#, 10 y/o, male GSD/Rottie. I adopted him as a puppy in S.Korea and he lived with me in Florida, Arizona, Texas, and Colorado. Sadly, he became a fur angel in 2021. Brett previously had a male 80# American Staffordshire Terrier who was a gentle giant. As you can tell, we both love, love, LOVE big dogs! I'd like to say that I am pretty confident working with dogs who come with challenges (i.e. must be fed separately, must be crated when left alone, will bark/lunge at men on walks, etc.) ~~~ BOARDING IN MY HOME - We have been boarding in our home since August 2023 and absolutely love it. Our backyard is enclosed with a 6ft wooden fence which has given many dogs a safe place to run out their energy while playing with our 2 dogs. We have a wonderful walking route in our neighborhood with lots of good smells, sounds, and sights for your dog to enjoy. We also have everything you can imagine when it comes to dogs (i.e. two XL dog beds, grooming supplies, toys, extra leashes, bowls, baby/doggy gates, etc). So if you every forget something, we probably have it. ~~~ DOG WALKING (or JOGGING) - I am an avid runner and have experience running with dogs. If your dog struggles with separation anxiety, high energy, or being overweight I will jog with your dog at no extra charge. Just let me know if you would like me to jog with him/her and I’ll give it a go. I will also work on leash manners during our walk/run if needed. It will make for a much more enjoyable experience for future walks/runs for all of us. ~~~ DROP-IN VISITS - I have experience doing drop-in visits for dogs and have experience with feeding, medications, play time, and short walks to potty. Whether you are out of town or work long shifts, I will make sure your puppers are taken care of during my drop-in visit(s).
Reviews
I can enjoy my time away from my dog because I know he is being well taken care of! Kristin and Brett are amazing! They are loving and attentive with my dog, I love the daily updates with photos! They are great with my dogs weird feedings and allergies, and he gets great walks with them. I would highly recommend them for anyone who is in love with their dog as much as I am!
Kristin is an amazing sitter. She kept our 7 month old puppy for 5 days. She sent a few photos every day, was communicative, and took great care of Athena. Athena had a blast playing with Kristin's dogs and came home as exhausted as a kid after summer camp. We will definitely ask Kristin to puppysit again. We could not have had a better first Rover experience.
Kristin (& Brett) is an amazing dog sitter. She communicates often, sends great pics and loves our pups as if they were her own. We are so grateful that we found her!
Super accommodating and communicative. Took great care of our two dogs that can be difficult… as far as I know they were Angels😜
OUR HOME: Our backyard is fenced in with a 6 foot wooden fence that we keep locked from the inside. Our two dogs are very friendly with other dogs. We have a Furbo camera we turn on when we aren’t home. We have 2 extra dog crates (XXL and XL) and two tall doggy/baby gates if needed. YOUR HOME: I will care for your dog as instructed, whether that be a request to walk, let out into the yard to potty, play with, provide meds for, feed, brush, etc. Your dog will have my complete attention during the 30/60 minute drop-in visit or walk.
Information Kristin D. would like to know about your pet
We have no breed preferences. We love them all! Questions about your dog: (1) How are they on a leash? (2) Do they know basic obedience commands? (3) Are they afraid of anything? (4) Do they have any special quirks? (i.e. chasing bunny rabbits, ask for butt scratches, stare at reflections, etc.) (5) Are they friendly with other dogs? Adults? Kids? (6) Anything else I should know?
A typical day
MY HOME: Your dog will get to play with our two dogs, Winnie and Bear. They will also get lots of pets from me and my husband. We will spend time in the backyard playing ball or tug-of-war. Walks in the neighborhood, up and around the park are also very likely to occur. There will also be plenty of opportunity for napping. YOUR HOME: Your dog will have lots of fun when I come over for a drop-in visit or walk. If I sense they are a bit nervous or unsure of me, I will make every effort to gain their trust. Your dog will get lots of attention and pets. I can play obedience training games with treats during my visit if you'd like. If we are walking, I will make sure they get to sniff all the good smells and see all of the good sights. If I am dropping-in, your dog will enjoy a fun play sesh inside and/or outside if you have a backyard.
