Fur Baby Lover/ Behavioral Trainer

Pet care experience

My first fur baby I named Gracie. She was an outgoing, spunky, beautiful blue nose pit bull that seemingly popped into the lap of my life unexpectedly. Very fitting of her to do so. She was the angel I needed. I have always had a deep connection with the bully breeds. Early on, it was a passion of mine to show the true heart of these amazing, passionate, muscular, dedicated, caring dogs. I know how it feels to be misinterpreted or judged by others, let alone in a very public eye. I was there to guide and teach Gracie her manners at first. Then my job was to support and nurture Gracie so she could work her magic with confidence and security. It was my job to safely and proudly give Gracie the platform. Again AFTER the training and discipline she needed for the mission, I KNEW she was going to be a rockstar. From very young, Gracie was socialized with people of all ages/types/etc, in all types of situations/locations/times, as well as animals of ALL types. ( She loved my roommate's cat's kittens/afternoon naps with them in the family room, birds (respect their space because possible ouch!), guinea pigs, horses, reptiles, etc.) Ultimately, our hard work together foreshadowed into the gift of Gracie gaining the ability to visit/basically be with me, during the month I was in the hospital after a near fatal car accident!(Feb. 2016) The nurses loved her and would come to my room to just visit the dog! Sadly, the brightest stars burn out the fastest. She had some leg injuries ( Breeding issues), that led to her crossing the rainbow bridge at the age of 6 and a half years. I am just lucky to have had her in my life that long. I miss her, but I know her spirit was needed somewhere else for someone else. Since having Gracie, I am the "go to" dog sitter for family and friends, and even their family and friends! I have rules in the house, and on walks that I am strict about. Maintaining consistency with feeding schedules, house hold rules, behaviors around others, etc. are important to me. The animal is the priority. I take pride in understanding dogs and how they see the world. Consistency, lots of loving, exploring/teaching during adventures.... the good life stuff. Socializing, walks and hikes, playing, training, bathing, car rides, health care, etc are ALL things I am great at and have done since I was 10 or younger. I want to live happy with your dog and make memories. I am not working right now! (Throat health from the car accident.) I dedicate and plan my day around the dog/dogs I am caring for. I love to take the dogs with me everywhere I go if appropriate and possible. I hope to make some income from being a dog/ house care taker instead! Availabilities: 7 DAYS A WEEK Overnights Drop off/ Pick ups (2020 Toyota Tacoma New with shell) Walking/ playdate Training sessions Stop by feedings/ social time I am FLEXIBLE. Also BUSY! Thankful for all of you. If you have future dates you want to book with me, book ASAP. I provide the spoiling in the comfort of the animals own home, routine feeding schedules , bathing if needed ( I prefer to pet a clean doggo!), daily walks if not two depending on energy, road trip for a hike or beach if weather permits. Oh yeah, NAP TIME.

Fantastic stay. Our first time trusting anyone with our two Great Danes in over 3 years. Kristen brought, confidence, love and “big dog energy” to the task. Both dogs have different challenges and we were looking for someone who could handle the range of challenge from some health to some borderline aggression issues. She was fabulous!

Kristin is the best dog-sitter I have ever hired - full stop. Seriously - she is beyond! My sweet dog Hattie Mae probably didn't even miss me ... she was so busy with outings and doggie dates and being spoiled 24/7. I got TONS of pictures and videos and daily updates. Kristin took care of her infected ears and bathed her and treated her like a queen. I returned to a super clean house and a tail-wagging dog - and didn't worry for a second when I was away. She is a DREAM.

Kristin was so great with our Ziggy! He was wary of a stranger in his home at first but she continued to bring her fun energy until he was completely comfortable with her. It was a vacation for Ziggy as much as us, he got to go on many adventures with Kristin and was a very happy and worn-out boy when we got home. Thank you Kristin!

Kristin did an astounding job! She was very professional, made sure she had all the information needed, and gave my animals the tender, loving care of that I wished for them. I could rest easy, knowing they were in great hands. I trusted her implicitly in my home.

THIS IS MY FULL TIME JOB!!!! Whew, got that out of the way LOL! I still pinch myself sometimes.... this amazing Job of teaching, loving, spoiling your pets is a blessing. I am KDOG, so I started this journey and was initially learning along side the DOGGOS! HOWEVER! I have thorough knowledge and experience with Cats.... feel like I should give some space here.....do not want to invade the feline's space...... Anyways! Additional experience with Reptiles (lizards, snakes, and even big spiders), Rodents (first pet was my guinea pig Penny and my Chinchilla named "Chili") Birds.... I just haven't figured the not so nice ones out yet. I am determined to do so eventually. Let's just say I have yet to graduate to ZOO EMPLOYEE STATUS. LOL I do put a lot of effort and importance on the care of your home while you are gone. I tend to clean house/cook a lot... great training/exposure opportunities for the animals. It is a great way for me to demonstrate to the Doggos that the human does these things, and you can go take a nap or not beg for food/ be underfoot blah blah blah.... Again, Your animals, your home, your peace of mind..... MY ONLY PRIORITY! I love my job!
