Growing up I assisted with caring for our family dogs everyday. These dogs became such an intrinsic member of our family. I spent years training my dogs weekly, as I taught them tricks, potty trained them, and provided them with entertainment daily. I would introduce them to new parks weekly. In result of my relationship with them, it has become comfortable enough that they do not even need a leash. I do use leashes though for safety. I didn’t see this as a responsibility or job but rather as an act of love and happiness as caring for dogs will always make me happy. I haven’t spent years dog watching close friends animals, as I spent time walking them and watching them while their families were on vacation.
