Hi there!! Kristie here! I have 5 years professional experience in the pet industry, so you can say that I have a lot of practice getting on an animal's level and compassionately listening to what it is they really need. I care deeply about all living friends (yes, including bugs) and I will take personal responsibility to ensure that they are cared for, listened to, safe, and of course having fun! I've cared for anxious senior cats, reactive dogs, a wide range of exotic pets, and a menagerie of small mammals. So I would love to get some treats and befriend your best furry (or scaley) friend, at their own pace! I know how important it can be to take it slow (and have soooo many treats) when gaining trust of new-to-me or nervous furry friends. --

Kristie is an incredible kitty whisper! She was patient and sweet with our very shy cats, and made sure they felt comfy and taken care of while we were gone for several days. For house sitting, what I offer is a little different than most house sitting situations. I like to call it an extended drop in! What's included is me spending 5-6 hours with your pets in your home. This is especially good for the cats used to having someone home most of the day (like the Work From Home families.) I am unable to stay the night in your home, but I feel being a presence in your home throughout the day will make up for not being there at night. We'll make sure to get plenty of cuddle time during the day! For drop ins, that time is your time!! How would you like me to spend that time with your best furry friend? I can pet them for 25 minutes; if they are nervous because I'm new I can sit in the room with them just so they aren't alone; I can feed them dinner and go for a stroll around the block to stretch our legs; anything is game!! I will work to gain their trust (at their pace, of course!) and hang out with them in whatever way you'd like me to do! I ensure they will get very attentive care when you are away, whether for a walk or for the weekend! I appreciate you considering letting me enter your space and take care of your pet! I will respect your space and your pet's space, as that's very important to me.

For both cats and dogs, building trust is very important to me! I would love to know if they have any food sensitivities and if they prefer certain proteins or textures (for treats). And if there are any triggers that make them reactive or unhappy (ie: loud noises, skateboards, other animals, etc). This is very, very important to me, and will make for a smooth and happy time together!! For dogs, I would love to know if there are any training efforts, commands, or routines I need to maintain during the walks. Please feel free to let me know anything else about your pup or cat! I am happy to provide extra care
A typical day
It's party time! If we're going outside for a walk, the journey is up to the pup! We can sniff the same tree for 10 minutes, or walk 1.5 miles in 30 min. (so fast!) If we're staying inside, I'm ready to pet them or play with toys the entire time, sing to them, or sit and be a presence in the house so the cat or pup is not alone!
