Big or small - I love them all!

Pet care experience

Growing up, my family had two floofy cats, a spoiled Shiba Inu, an energetic German Shepherd, and too many hamsters. From a young age, I was exposed to many different animals, such as sheep, horses, chickens, lambs, and the like. This may have led to my love for not just dogs and cats, but all living creatures. I have experience fostering kittens, dogs, and a pregnant cat (who began to give birth in my college dorm haha). In addition, I have looked after a couple of pups, while their parents were on vacation. I’ve participated in taking Louisville Metro Animal Services shelter dogs out for field trips. This gives the dog a break from the shelter, gets them to socialize with humans, and exposes them to people who may want to adopt them! A random fact: I volunteered for five weeks at a wildlife conservation in Ecuador. There, I cared for turtles, spider and pygmy monkeys, capybaras, and a multitude of other wild animals. My services include drop-ins and walks. Some weekends I like to get out of the city and go for a hike - your furbabe is more than welcome to join! During the week I am a full-time nurse. Can’t wait to meet you and your best friend(s)!

Kristi is an awesome dog and house sitter. It was so nice coming home to my big happy guy!! Dogs have an incredible way of telling you things are great while we are not home. Kristi got up super early on a Saturday morning to keep Beau in his feeding schedule and they headed out for a walk, not missing a beat on our daily routine. My house was clean and organized when I returned AND Kristi watered my super thirsty gardens. 5 STARS

Kristi was great with my cat! She came over early to go through all the instructions and Molly took a quick liking to her. She kept me updated every time she dropped by the house to give Molly her food and medicines (not super easy as she needs 3 pills and 1 injection) and was great about it the whole time. She even brought in my mail so it would look like someone was home. I'd definitely trust her to take care of my cat again!

I have know Kristi for years, and have always known her as someone who has a heart for animals. She is very passionate in animal rights and personally has a lot of experience with taking care of them, such as dogs. Kristi has two dogs at home. She spends a lot of time with them, and is very intentional about optimizing their living situations/quality of life - making sure they have enough space at home, doing enough activities/exercises, getting a balanced diet, spending time with them, and watching out for any possible health issues. I highly recommend Kristi as a dog sitter, as she is very experienced and knowledgeable in taking care of them, as well as having a big heart and passion in working with them.

Kristi has the biggest heart for animals. She cares for them and treats them with dignity and it is evident that she makes them a part of her family. She is responsible and trustworthy. Kristi will make a great dog sitter for any family.

Before a house sit, I like to meet with you and your pet ensure we both trust each other 100% as I want to ensure you are comfortable with me house sitting. While not required for walks or drop-ins, I am happy to do a meet and greet if it is requested. I believe in positive reinforcement and no physical punishment. I do not endorse, promote, or use shock collars or any device that may be used to correct actions through fear or pain.

Information Kristi A. would like to know about your pet

Is your dog social with humans and other animals? Is your dog friendly with children? Does your dog have allergies? Any other medical conditions I should be aware of? Is your dog neutered/spayed? What type of activities does your dog enjoy?

A typical day

Some dogs have a routine they like to keep, while others like new adventures. I’m adaptable to do whatever it is to get your dog out of the house and active (unless they like to stay at home and chill - I’m cool with that too!) Favorite activities include: going to the park, getting a puppuccino, and driving with the windows rolled down.
