Hi! I am Kristen and I love pets! Growing up my family had our "Dusty", a Shetland Sheepdog, as well as my boyfriends family pets (who I loved like my own too) "Oreo" the Border Collier & "Sophie" the Boxer. I am a certified teacher in Special Education and have over 7 years experience in the education and child-care fields. Before my journey into education, I worked at a vet clinic and pet-sitting on the side. Through my love and care of animals, I realized my passion for teaching. I feel teachers are the perfect pet-sitting partners, as they possess many of the necessary skills for caring for a pet as they would any child in their classroom, such as: ability to communicate effectively back to parents, time management, routine planning, responsibility towards students health and safety, meeting students dietary needs while being conscious of individual children's allergies or dietary restrictions.
