Pet care experience
All animals deserve to be loved. I have worked with animals professionally for 5 years. I worked as a specialist on animal care team at my old pet store job. I have worked in three veterinary settings in multiple roles including kennel tech, CVT assistant, and my current job is reception at a vet. I love all animals even if they are unconventional. Small animals, birds, fish, reptiles, you name It I've worked with it. I have injection and oral medication giving experience. I can also do Sub Q fluids.

Her knowledge extends to not only Cats and Dogs but also Birds, Snakes and Fish, nearly every pet out there Kristen knows how to properly handle and care for. She also has veterinary experience, and currently works at a clinic that would be available if anything were to happen. Due to her extensive knowledge and love for animals, Kristen is more than qualified to care for pets on Rover.
She is the kindest and most gentle human I have ever met and knows her stuff about animals. She is the light in any room to everyone even animals.
Kristen is a responsible dog sitter based on direct experience hiring her. She arrives on time, provides updates when asked, and is very good at playing with animals. She has worked with short weekend trips and longer trips and has left the house in perfect condition and entertained and exercised the dogs well. She has watched both my senior pet and my puppy.

I have pet sat over night and have done drop ins for many years. My favorite couple dogs were two elderly huskies that required medication and some extra TLC. I also used to go in at my old vet job at 11 pm and check fluid lines on the rescues. I am more than willing to go the extra mile to make a pet feel comfortable with me. I also brought home a rescue kitten that needed emergency fostering.

A typical day
Best thing for a dog to do is go on a walk in a new place. They love the smells and the sights. I personally do not think dog parks are safe due to disease spread and possibility of fights, so I try to provide as much enrichment as I can without jeprodizing the safety of the pet in my care. I love towel knot toys, tug of war, fetch, and food puzzles. These are all ways to keep dogs brains stimulated!

I work about 10 hours a day 3 days a week, I am busy sometimes but I always want to make time to make some furry friends happy. It promotes a good balance.
