Pet care experience
I had pets throughout my childhood, including a dog and cats at various points and used to dog sit for family friends in middle and high school. Now I'm the proud mom to a two-year-old rescue who loves the company of other dogs! My husband and I have a two-year-old rescue at home who loves company. We crate him, so if you also have a crated pup, you would need to bring your crate with you. We live on the first floor of a condo building, so we don't have a fenced yard, and outside time would be on walks only.

Our dog had a great time staying with Kristen and Michael and their dog, Atticus. They sent us a number of photos and updates during the two-night visit, and our girl always looked happy and relaxed. It was easy to communicate with them, and they're super responsive. I'm so glad we found them because I know our dog will be in good hands while we're away. Thanks, Kristen and Michael!
Kristen and Michael are very good and accommodating caretakers for pups. They took good care of Penny and gave regular updates
We can't say enough amazing things about Kristen and Michael! Responsive, flexible, and all around great people! Our Bowdie LOVES staying with them and their pup Atticus! Honestly, its the only time I've ever seen Bowdie let me leave without his sad-puppy eyes! To top it off, Kristen and Michael went above and beyond and ordered Bowdie's special fish oil when it was clearly going to run out! HIGHLY recommend.
Lucy had a great stay and we appreciated the easy communication and great photos!

We crate our dog and can easily crate your dog, too, if needed. Regardless, we keep the dogs separated when we are out of the house.

At home, it is me, my husband, and our dog, so we cannot care for dogs who are not well socialized to being around other animals. We do crate our dog while we are out to run errands, so would prefer to have dog visitors who are also crate trained.
A typical day
Our favorite is definitely Rock Creek Park! We love hiking on the trails or walking along the creek. We do not go to dog parks, but our dog is well socialized with several friends and neighborhood dogs.

Availability
I work from home currently and we host dogs when my husband will also be home. Because of this, we can go out throughout the day and take longer walks in the morning or evening. We are two blocks from Rock Creek Park, and this is definitely a favorite walking location for us!
