Hello, everyone! I have returned to Rover after a break. Currently, I'm pursuing college studies, raising my children and freelance writing. I have owned, both a large breed dog and medium breed. Morgan, my black lab, had a gentle nature and Spicer, my medium breed, was a bit more high strung. Excellent customer service, I consider, is the root of a happy and productive working relationship. I pride myself on having an outgoing and willing nature to help put a client at ease with knowing that their beloved friend will be in good hands. Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog lover for as long as I can remember. I grew up around my grandparent's fluffy white highland terrier, Ajax. When I was 12 my parents finally consented to get a dog. We brought home an African Basenji, Spicer. She was a rare breed and a purebred with a bit of a high strung and territorial disposition, though she was extremely loyal to her family. She quickly became a spoiled and happy family member! I also clearly recall the first time I saw a brand new puppy for the first time. My neighbor, who was a hunter, had just brought home his yellow lab buddy. His daughter and I played in the grass with him for hours. We couldn't get over how quickly he would move around and then promptly plop down a take a little snooze. My experience administering medication I have no problem at all giving medication if needed. As long as I'm familiar with how it is administered and how often, along with any "tricks" that work, it is well within my comfort zone.
