Pet care experience
I have owned animals my entire life (dogs, cats, sheep, and pigs) and have self-taught myself in basic dog training. I have experience in administering medication to animals as well. My friends and family always comment on my strong bond with new dogs that I meet. I absolutely love animals and doing everything I can to make them happy and healthy! From experience, I know a pet’s health depends on exercise, stimulation, a balanced diet, and a lot of love! I want to ensure that I am giving your animal the specific things it needs (runs vs. walks, dietary needs, etc.) to live the healthiest and happiest life.

Kristen is by far the best choice when it comes to being a dog caregiver. I have known Kristen for approximately 8 years. She was in 4H during her younger years and took excellent care of her animals. Kristen has always had dogs in her household and was their primary caregiver. She absolutely adores animals and animals seem to "flock" to her. Any family should be honored to have Kristen watch over their furbabies !

State College has plenty of walking trails! Archie, my golden retriever, lives with me, but your dog will only interact with him if we schedule an over-the-night stay.

I do not have any breed preferences! The main things I would like to know ahead of time are the following: size, temper, whether they are friendly towards strangers/children/other animals, dietary restrictions, health concerns, physical restrictions, and their favorite spot to be scratched.
A typical day
I will take your dog on stimulating walks at a pace that is specific to the dog’s needs. Play time will also be scheduled into the visit! This can include tug-of-war, fetch, or anything your dog loves!

Availability
I work full-time, so I will be available either in the early morning or after 5pm. Weekend availability varies. I am very flexible with scheduling!
