Pet care experience
I have taken care of my own and others' dogs for over 25 years. Whereas I have an affinity for senior dogs, I can hike and take long walks with my younger charges as well. I love to play and pay attention to the animals. As an RN, I also have knowledge of the mind, body, emotions, and spiritual needs of animals. I know when to call in the family, or vet and will always ask excellent questions to be sure I know the routine and needs of the pets I work with. I will be sure that you have pictures of your pet(s) while I am with them. I also have been a home owner, so paying attention to the home environment and safety is important to me.

I cannot recommend Kristen more. She is a very nice and incredibly attentive sitter. Ned loves her, is looking around the house for her. He got a lot of exercise and warmth. The house was also very well taken care of. HIRE HER FOR SURE!!

Hearing details about your pet is essential for quality care. Here are some basic questions I would want to know. Food: what, how much, times, snacks/treats, what not to eat. Activity: where in neighborhood, travel ability, how far can they walk, favorite dog parks, no dog parks, favorite toys. Elimination: how often, when, where, disposition of elimination Personality: likes, dislikes, level of anxiety, socialization with other dogs/cats Concerns: medical, medication, name/number/location of vet and favorite emergency vet, separation anxiety, certain neighborhood pets, foods.
A typical day
I love to hike and go for long walks. For those dogs who can do that, I ready! I used to have labs and they love to play ball, over and over again! No problem! For those pets who respond, I can also do basic massage, and, if parents are OK with it, basic energy work (Healing Touch, Reiki). Also, depending on the animal, touch is important and needed. I love to snuggle with animals, get down on the ground with them, and play.

I work remotely and can be flexible to schedule your pet's care. I am free to do early mornings or in the evenings, if needed.
