Pet care experience
From age 8-14, I volunteered at the local animal shelter after school and on weekends, bathing, feeding, walking and playing with all kinds of dogs and cats. I grew up with cats as my family has had 3 throughout my lifetime. At age 19, I effectively trained my family's new Great Pyrenees puppy, Lilah. Now, I long-term dogsit for my friends pets when needed, including Laz - who is arguably the best Border Collie in the world.

Kristen has excellent communication & was was great to deal with. Her location is super convenient with a great backyard, & was 2 minutes from where I was staying in Canmore for a conference. The biggest complement however is Nakiska LOVED Kristen! The 2nd day of day care, Nakiska was happy to go back to her house & was so excited to see her again, tail wagging like crazy! Kristen took her on amazing hikes & gave her lots of activity & cuddles. Will definite use her again!!
We needed a last minute sitter on the way to the ski hill and her response time was impeccable. Very kind, approachable and trusting! Definitely recommend.
Kristen was INCREDIBLE. Gwen was in heaven. She came back exhausted, clean and sooo happy. Got to go to work with her, went for a long walk got and lots of cuddles! Would recommend 10/10.

A typical day
I will take them out for walks or hikes or cross country skiing in Kananaskis. Plus enrichment activities, playing fetch and snuggles!! (If they want)

Availability
Living in Canmore, I'm naturally super active and love to get outside hiking, cross-country skiing, walking, and being outside year-round. Dogs are always welcome on my adventures. I work an office job Monday to Thursday 9-5 but there’s flexibility. We can go for walks on my lunch breaks and snuggle when I’m able to work from home.
