Providing the Best For Your Pets!

Pet care experience

I believe that our pets add so much to our lives, so I want to give back to them! I have grown up with pets my whole life. My husband and I realized our dream to grow our own homestead, and now we have 3 dogs, 3 cats, 2 goats, 5 chickens, and a turtle. All of our pets were rescues, and I believe that animals can tell when they've been given a second chance, and reward our lives even more so for it! This is why I enjoy enriching every animal's life that I come in contact with, because I know that each one of them is enriching the lives of those people around them! Twelve years ago, I adopted a stray Chihuahua mix from the streets of downtown Phoenix, whom I named Sam. Sam is a small dog with an alpha personality. He requires a lot of one on one attention to bring out the best in him! He's fiercely loyal and protective, and lives his best life when he knows he is acknowledged for this. Sam suffers from joint pain, and is on a daily medication regimen, as well as modifications in his environment that we have put in place to make him more comfortable. Around the same time, I adopted my girl Trinny from the euthanization list at a current shelter. She was a dumped puppy mill dog, who had an infected reproductive system due to a botched backyard delivery. She was scared, emaciated, and required extensive surgery when I first adopted her. I have no doubt Trinny knows that she was given a second chance, as she is the most loving, snuggly pup I have ever met. She is also spunky and knows no fear! Trinny has taken 2 week road trips with me, hiked with me, and stood her ground against towering intruders, all from a 12 pound frame! Trinny was diagnosed with kidney disease a year ago, and was given 3-12 months life expectancy. We did extensive research on how to increase her quality of life, and now are following a tedious daily regimen, including homecooked meals, medications, and lifestyle modifications, but our girl is still chasing her siblings and loving her snuggles, and has surpassed expectations! Our 3rd adoptee was our pit mix Middy, who was pulled as a stray just days before giving birth. The shelter found homes for her puppies, but being a black pit bull mix, Middy spent 3 months in the shelter with no interest, until she was almost out of time. I met her at a local 5k event where adoptions were happening. Since joining our family, she has been nothing less than the best advocate for pit bull mixes. Though she is the largest of our dogs, she is the gentlest and calmest. She watches over all our animals, including the goats and chickens and cats! She loves the outdoors and meeting all kinds of other living creatures and humans. She is adventurous and loves road trips, car camping, tent camping, and hiking! She's even summitted some 13,000 foot mountains with me. We've since added adopted feral and indoor cats, goats, and chickens to our family, and have extensive experience with both in home and farm animal care. I understand the need to embrace every pet parent's specific wishes in giving their pets their best life. I am myself very protective and particular as to how my pets are treated, and I respect that wish in any pet owner I meet. I understand that regardless of size or breed, every dog needs love, structure, and engagement. I am familiar and comfortable with implementing lifestyle and environment modifications, or addressing any physical or medical needs, as I would with my own pets. My services can never replace the bond that a pet has with their owner, but I hope that I can enable your pet to get the most out of life during your busy schedule! I believe every pet owner has their pets' best interests at heart, and my goal is to be the best representation of those interests, so that your pet is able to pass on that love back to you! Our pets can truly be one of the most rewarding parts of our lives, and I love being able to foster that relationship! My services include client in home pet-sitting, drop by services, and pet-walking services. I am familiar with dogs, cats, and small farm animals including goats and chickens.

Kristen would be the absolute best dog caregiver. She currently has three dogs of her own and is the best dog mom there could be. She is very patient and kind to all animals including dogs.

Information Kristen G. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know what you believe your pets personality to be like, as well as their strengths and weaknesses. I would also like to know what things you already do with your pet for fun, as well as additional ideas you think they would enjoy trying. I would like to know what your pets' experiences have been with humans, children, and other animals. I would also like to know of any specifications to diet, lifestyle, modifications, or special needs.

A typical day

Pets need engagement, just like any living creature! Outdoor time is crucial, and I am willing to take your pet on walks in pre-designated areas that you determine, or new and varying routes to add variety and engagement to this activity. I believe in respecting the safety of your pet, so I avoid unfamiliar routes that I have not personally scoped out before hand, or high traffic areas. The safety of your pet is key. Other activities are melded around your pet's unique personalities. Are they an athlete and love zoomies around the yard? Are they interactive with other animals and enjoy a game of tug of war? Are they snugglers and want a warm lap and conversation? I take an individualized approach to each pet, based on owner preferences and personal experiences. I love running myself, and am even open to a running partner if your pup was a candidate!
