Kristen has always loved animals from the time she was a little girl. She has had numerous pets and raised them with loving care including her pet Sheltie that she rescued, her cat Princess that she had from kitten until she passed at age 15, a horse Kona that she rode and trained to second level in dressage, her goat Cuddles who she showed at 4 H that she had bred and had 2 kids- Smidge and Smudge, and numerous turtles and anoles that she cared for. She has often pet sat for others and cared for and loved on their animals. Before Kristen changed her major to medicine she received her undergraduate degree in animal science with the intention of becoming a veterinarian. She did some work at a vet clinic in Brighton, Michigan and worked at the MSU animal clinic doing research. Kristen is a responsible and loving care giver to all animals/pets.
