Pet care experience
I’m an Aussie who’s been living in the Midwest for the past eight years! Initially moved here to study playwriting and screenwriting at Northwestern, and I’m now working as a dog walker and dog sitter while I continue my studies at Western Michigan University. I have dual citizenship and grew up with two beautiful standard poodles (we had them until I was in my early twenties). I get most of my exercise walking around town and going for short hikes in nearby preserves, and I’d love to bring your dog along on those adventures, taking them to Fairmont Park for a run or walking around Kleinstuck Preserve to try to spot some deer!

Kristen was a lifesaver for my household when I had to extend my trip due to a family emergency. She didn’t hesitate to continue house-sitting since it worked for her schedule. I was able to easily focus on my family knowing that my two cats were safe and comfortable in Kristen’s capable care. She is responsible and communicative, even watering a houseplant that she noticed was parched. I will happily continue working with Kristen whenever I need my cats looked after!
Kristen is truly a lifesaver. She is so sweet and kind to my skittish cats, and they both adore her each time she house sits. They clearly remember her fondly because they cuddled with her on her first day of house sitting during this stay, when my cats typically don’t let anyone see them for days. She is reliable and very communicative and was willing to extend her stay with my cats when I was delayed coming home due to a family emergency. I couldn’t thank her enough. 💙

A typical day
I usually go for a lengthy walk in the morning and spend the afternoons preparing lesson plans or doing the readings for my classes. Another walk in the late afternoon and during the evenings just relaxing at home.

I’m teaching just one class each semester at Western, so I’ll have plenty of time during the day to take your pup for walks and give them lots of attention.
