We have relocated to Ballard (Seattle) from the East Village in NYC and currently are parents to one dog, a Toy Australian Shepherd named Winston. Winston is 2.5 years old, about 11 pounds, and loves playing with other small and medium dogs! We both grew up with animals, and our apartment is totally dog-friendly. Kristen grew up in the suburbs of Connecticut with a rotating cast of cats, guinea pigs and fish. Les grew up in Alaska, and has had dogs his whole life - including two collies, and two full size Australian shepherds. We graduated college in 2010 and 2011 respectively, and have both lived in NYC up until our move to Seattle in July 2016. We've joined Rover because we’ve totally enjoyed dog sitting for friends in the past, and we currently plan our weekends around fun activities to do with our dog. So why not add a great friend for Winston to romp around with!? Winston is much more relaxed when he’s able to play with another dog, and we love to be able to afford that luxury to Winston as well as your dog who will return totally tuckered out and happy! I work for an advertising agency and my boyfriend is a lawyer. On the weekends (Friday evening through Sunday evening) I'm available full time to spend time devoted to dogs! Generally a typical weekend will include a Friday evening trip to the dog park. On Saturday and Sunday the dogs get a morning walk and breakfast, and a bit of nap time while the humans go to the gym :) Afternoons include another dog park visit, and a walk around The neighborhood e running errands and exploring. The dogs also have free reign of the apartment and our large brick patio. We always walk the dogs right before bed, generally around 11pm or so, to make sure they’re comfortable overnight. Winston sleeps in his crate quite happily, but we don’t require visiting dogs to be crated.
