Pet care experience
I (Kristen) grew up with dogs, cats, and horses and cared for horses professionally in my twenties. We've had our own dog, Wrigley, for 7 years, and he's a beloved member of our family. We work from home and will only take one dog at a time, so your pet will get plenty of personal attention and won't get overwhelmed. We have a good sized fenced-in yard for play and potty breaks.

Our preference is for easy-going dogs who thrive in a calm environment. Wrigley loves to run and play, but is mellow and submissive and can get overwhelmed by dominant dogs with an aggressive play style. He puts up with it, but it isn't ideal for him.
A typical day
Since I work from home and have a good sized yard, most activity will be supervised play with Wrigley in the backyard. But walks with lots of stops for sniffing and marking and excursions to nearby Summit Park are also possibilities.

Availability
I (Kristen) work from home, and Raul works out of the home only part time. There is almost always someone home, and our dog, Wrigley, is rarely left alone for more than a few hours at a time. When Wrigley isn't hanging out with us at home, he spends time playing in the yard and is taken to the park regularly to play with other dogs and "hunt" squirrels.
