Pet care experience
I have had dogs my entire life. I recently lost my 2 year old rescue Luna to cancer and miss the companionship of animals. I love taking long walks and bringing dogs on adventures where they can sniff to their hearts content. In my home, your dog will treated like family. Snuggles on the couch, tug of war, belly rubs and endless ear scratches are part of the package. I am patient and loving to all the animals I care for. If your pet has a special diet or needs, I'm more than happy to accommodate them. I am comfortable with large dog breeds - drool is no problem! Senior dogs are welcome to lounge in the sun on the floor or couch of my living room or go for car rides if that is what they love. I truly hope to have the opportunity to get to know you and your pet.

Kristen took the best care of our bulldog while we were away for a week. She provided updates and pictures of him while we were away. She took him on hikes, adventures to pick out treats, and has a great home for a dog to enjoy. We now have a sitter for life whenever we need to be away from our pup!
Kristen loves dogs and it shows in her care for them! I have known her for years and have trusted her with my own dogs, Moose & Maple. My youngest dog , Maple can be difficult but the patience Kristen has with her is amazing and they both love her. You would be lucky to have her representing you.
I highly recommend Kristen for your dog sitting/walking needs! She has a lot of experience with dogs and is very trustworthy, reliable, flexible, caring, and consistent. Kristen is the best! She’s loving, caring and if you’re lucky enough to get her as your dog walker she would take the best care of your dog. Kristen is not only a dog lover but treats and loves all dogs like her own.

In my home dogs are welcome anywhere in my home. My living room is a wall of windows overlooking the woods. It is a one story house with a finished basement that I block off at the top of the stairs. You dog is welcome to lounge on a bed and check for squirrels out the window or curl up on the couch with me. If you prefer your dog to be crated, I have space for a crate as well. I have a large yard with a fenced in garden for potty breaks or to sniff around. I also have a dog run if that fits your needs. While on the run, I'll keep an eye on your pet at all times (my living room is all windows).

A typical day
I love to play ball, explore new areas and smells and am happy to work on basic commands with your pet. I have a few trails I know of that are great for walks in the woods.

Availability
I am a Special Education teacher currently. I'm available for afternoon or weekend walks, overnight care and vacation sitting - whatever your needs. During school vacations I am available to either board your pet with me or stay in your home if you decide to travel. I'm also available for walks or pee breaks anytime during school vacations.
