Pet care experience
From the ages of 11-15, I was a cat-sitter for my next door neighbor whenever they went on vacation. I was tasked with cleaning her litter box, making sure she ate and drank, played with her, kept her company, and spent the night when requested. I’ve had my dog (Buddy) since 2017! He’s a maltese poodle mix that I love very much but unfortunately had to leave him back home with my parents when I moved to NoVa. I was one of his primary caretakers, so I was tasked with all of the many responsibilities involved in being a dog owner. I miss having my Buddy Boy to play with and would love to be able to get my fix while helping someone out!

Krista did a great job caring for my dog, and making sure he was happy, well-loved, and adjusted to whatever he needed! She was very thorough and made sure to send a lot of information about how he was doing, and was very patient and communicated well. Highly recommend!

A typical day
I will ensure they receive mental stimulation through playing with their toys, playing fetch, and giving them a treat for being on their best behavior! I enjoy going on walks in the neighborhood, away from the busy main roads, and exploring the area.

Availability
I work 80% remotely Monday-Friday, only going into the office Wednesdays. While I work from 8am-5pm, I’m free to walk your pet(s), hang out with them in your home (as long as there’s wifi I can connect to for work purposes), or pop in to say hello any time during the work day. Any other time, I’m available as my schedule allows!
