Experienced and Reliable pet lover

Pet care experience

Family pets have always been a big part of my life and taking care of them is a true passion of mine. I’m an animal lover of all kinds! Additionally, I have over 5 years of experience professionally working with animals. I started at a wildlife rehabilitation and assisted with various tasks like medicating and feeding sick or injured animals. Additionally, I had an internship at a wildlife park for a year where I was tasked with cleaning, diet prepping and assisting the vet with medical procedures. I have an extensive background in animal care both professionally and personally. I currently have 3 hairless cats (Sphynx cats) that all have medical issues like asthma, rhinitis, and heart disease which has given me great experience in administering medication orally and within food. I have always been the go-to person among family and friends to watch their pet dogs, cats and turtles because they know I will take care of their animals like they are my own! I believe I have a true connection with animals and they can sense my love and passion for them! My pets are my babies and I know how it feels to leave them (I leave a 5 page document for my sitters) so I can give you a peace of mind while you are away that they will be in good hands with me! **I can watch all your pets (dogs, cats, ect.) but due to my 3 cats I can only watch your pets at your home...which is where your pet is most comfortable anyways! Depending on your pets needs I can come daily while you’re away or stay at your home. I am great with special needs pets and I have experience with the raw/natural diets. My availability: At this time I prefer weekends and holidays. I work full time so I can stay at your house if needed during the weekdays but I will be at work for 8 hours per day or… I can check on your pets daily in the early AM before 8AM and after 5PM. If you live close to me I can check on your pets during my lunch hour too! *After 5PM during weekdays I am available to feed, play, walk and entertain you pets! *I have more flexibility on weekends and holidays!

Krista's love for all animals became apparent at a very young age. Her kind heart and gentle spirit puts animals at ease. She has been watching my dogs since she was a little girl when she helped her mother. Her love for her own cats is a testament to who she is since she has a special needs foster cat that she loves as her own. She also did a six month unpaid internship for a park in Washington state caring for many different types of animals. Krista is trustworthy, dependable and responsible, You can depend on her to take care of your pets as if they were her own. It is just part of her DNA. I am always able to enjoy my trips away from home knowing that my dogs are in such good hands. Krista will be a wonderful addition to the DogVacay team.
