Pet care experience
Hello! My name is Krista. My fiancé, Tommy, and I just moved to Algonquin in a spacious ranch style home and would love to fill our time with dogs to watch while you are away! I am a teacher who is currently on summer break. I do not have any other obligations during the summer except to watch dogs. When school starts again, I am 15 minutes away and able to visit the pups during my lunch break. Tommy normally is home around 2-3pm each day, so we can assure you that your doggo will never be alone more than 4 hours in a day once school starts! Tommy and I have used Rover in the past and regularly sit for our friends and family when they go on vacation. Please let us know if you would like us to babysit your furry friend!

Krista had my dog Miya for 9 days. I’m one of those paranoid dog moms and felt completely comfortable with Miya being in the hands of Krista. She updated me with pictures and responds quick via text messages which I loved. I will definitely be using Krista as my dog sitter again. Highly recommend.
Krista was great! Halle obviously enjoyed her stay, as she was very happy and playful when I picked her up! She is looking forward to her next stay!
We recently had Krista house sitting and dog watching for us while we were out if town with family. She was so kind to send us daily updates and pictures of our dog and constantly keep us connected while we were away. When we returned home we found that small chores had been completed- the dishes we left in the dishwasher had been put away, the sheets from our spare bedroom washed and folded- things we never mentioned or asked her to do but she was kind enough to do herself anyways. I will definitely call her next time we need a sitter!

I have a list of questions I always ask family's when I come to meet the dog. Some details I like to know beforehand is how comfortable you are with the dog moving locations (if we go to a dog park or a long walk) if they can be around other dogs (if we have another furry friend staying at my apartment will they be able to play together), and any extra things you would like me to do while house sitting (live-in stays, cleaning, maintaining plants, feeding other caged animals).
A typical day
I love going for long walks, and although a beach isn't nearby I'm sure the surrounding area will do for your dog! My apartment complex has an area available for dogs to run around off-leash as well as a nearby bike trail for longer walks, and I store extra toys at home to play with the dogs. Playtime is my favorite part of dog sitting. :)
