Hello! I'm Krista. As a dedicated animal lover and aspiring nurse practitioner, I bring a unique blend of medical knowledge and nurturing expertise to your pet family. I've had pets my entire life - my earliest photos capture me sitting on the back of Ben, our golden retriever. Growing up, we had 4 large dogs and 1 cat. I cared for them throughout their lives - in health, in illness, and to end of life. I also crate, potty, and clicker trained my brother's puppy. I understand the diverse health needs of animals, and my experience as a volunteer at the Animal Rescue League involved everything from basic care, to administering medications, to physical therapy for high-needs and elderly dogs. I know that pets are cherished members of the family, and I'm here to ensure they receive the love and attention they deserve.

A typical day
In a typical day of dog care, I prioritize both physical activity and mental stimulation. One of my favorite things is to create puzzles! Engaging activities such as walks, playtime with favorite toys, interactive games, and perhaps a visit to a local dog park are incorporated to cater to your pet's energy levels and preferences. Regular potty breaks and time to explore are woven into the routine. I know how important their curiosity is! I take your pet's lead by closely watching their behavioral cues, and I only use positive reinforcement.

I just finished prerequisites and applications for graduate programs. Update 1/27/24: I just started a job while I'm interviewing for programs. I work 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. Please contact me if you're unsure if a service will fit into my schedule! My hours vary (12-8, 10-6, 9-5, 8-4). Please contact me if you're unsure if a service will fit into my schedule! If I get into grad school, I will have more flexibility and will continue to work for Rover! I am flexible and quick to respond to messages. I'm available for walks, playtime, feeding, and any specific care requirements your pet may have. I love walks that explore neighborhoods and local hikes. I'm also available for overnights in your home! I require a complementary meet-and-greet before I book a service to ensure it's a good fit for everyone.
