Hi there! My name is Krista, and I am looking to be your dog’s favorite sitter! I have been around dogs (and animals, in general) since I was very young while growing up in Tennessee. I spent a large portion of my childhood at my grandparents’ farm where I believe my love for animals *especially dogs* started. From that point on, I knew that dogs would be an important part of my life whether it was helping out with raising / training my family’s dogs or being my neighborhood’s popular dog sitter from middle school up until I left for college. As a college sophomore, I was finally able to afford, raise, & care for the dog of my dreams! Four years later, I still have my best friend, a Pembroke Welsh Corgi named Kirby, who just turned 4 years old. My overall experience is primarily with puppies and young adult dogs, and I have been regularly dog-sitting since I was 15 years old. Though I have experience with senior dogs, I would advise hiring a sitter that is more well-versed with that age group. (Honesty is my absolute #1 policy, so I aim to be transparent about my sitter experience & comfort level with different age groups.) I am very comfortable & experienced at handling any size or breed, and I am specifically great with high energy dogs as well. If you choose me to take care of your pup while you are away, I can sincerely promise three important things: communication, responsibility, and lots of love/care. I strive to provide an excellent and stress-free experience for you as your pet sitter, and I also want to provide a fun, loving, and responsible environment for each & every dog too. I am very organized and clean, therefore I have puppy-proofed my apartment to ease any concern for puppies & younger dogs. Due to working in freelance, I am home 100% of the time during any pet’s stay. Though I live in an apartment, I am located on the ground level which provides easy access to go outside several times per day. Exercise is important for every dog, but the type & length of the exercise obviously varies between each dog. I walk my own pup 2-3 times per day due to her high energy, so I have no problem doing that for your dog as well! So, please let me know what your preferences are, and I will do my best to accomodate your pet’s needs. I understand that leaving your furry friend can be worrisome.
