Pet care experience
In 2017, we did a six month dog-sitting stint for a friend who was out of the province. Her sweet pup became part of the family and we SO enjoyed the experience that we decided to make it a part of our lifestyle. We've had outside dogs before (got my first two farm pups in 1994, when I was a teenager) but this was the first time we'd had one inside, and we were pleasantly surprised by how well-behaved, tidy, and fun she was. If you have a clean, mannerly, family-friendly dog that needs a second home, we would love to host. Our children still at home are 11 and 16, and love to be involved in the dog-sitting process. Although ours is a busy household, as a stay-at-home mom Krista is generally home, looking forward to doggie-company. In addition to dogs, we have experience with cats, rodents, chickens and horses - basically, we're animal lovers. For walking and home visits, our travelling preferences are generally south Langley, between 216th Street and Lefeuvre Road - our family activities are all in Aldergrove, so it's a little more convenient for me to go east than west. We do offer a discount if you have more than one dog, as well as discounts for long-term stays. Thank-you for considering me as a caregiver for your beloved pet!
Reviews
Krista is wonderful. Our dogs were well taken care of and loved during our trip. The home is warm and welcoming. The yard is large and fully fenced. Krista and her whole family love dogs and take great care of your dogs as though it’s their own. Thank you! Will book again!
Krista was great sent pictures and texted back when we had questions
Krista took very good care of my pup! Nola came home very tired from playing with Liberty all day I’d imagine. I would use her again! ?
As always Buddy was super happy with Krista.

We have a fenced back yard for potty breaks, and for play time when the weather is nice. Dogs are loose in the house most of the day. Because of sleep issues, your pup MUST be able to sleep quietly in a crate at night time, either in a bedroom or on the main floor.

Information Krista B. would like to know about your pet
Because we have children at home, we prefer breeds that are generally known for being family-friendly, but, more importantly, we need to know that your dog is accustomed to being around children and will be safe for them. Also, we don't accept dogs that are sick or prone to having accidents - no dogs that pee or poop in the house, please, even when they are just excited. Because we live in a rural setting and are always concerned about deer ticks, your pup must be up-to-date on flea treatments (natural ones are acceptable). Your dog must be able to sleep quietly in a crate at night time.
A typical day
Dogs have lots of play time here! We have our own puppy, and our kids love to play with the dogs, too. From our fenced back yard, dogs have an enjoyable view of forest, chickens, goats and our llama. We also have cats, but they aren't usually in the same space as the dogs. We're homebodies and don't often go out. Seasonally, we spend a lot of time outside doing yard work, gardening and other projects.

Availability
Krista is generally home with the dogs. Outings to drive the kids to school or pick up groceries are usually under two hours long, during which time dogs are crated.
