Pet care experience
I've taken care of 5 small dogs over the last ten years within my family and on my own. Outside of family, I've boarded, walked, fed, and cared for both dogs and cats of friends and coworkers. I've taken care of small dogs, like my own, up to big dogs, like my best friend's pitbull. I also have experience dealing with senior dogs, as my own dog is 13 years old. While my care experience is mostly dogs, I've lived with multiple cats, and have now (through Rover) had several stays with multiple cats! Additionally through Rover, I've cared for several bigger dogs ranging from Husky to Labs. I'm very prompt and will take the cutest pictures of your pets (I've been told it's a skill of mine lol)!

When I lived in Baton Rouge, Krislyn was my dog sitter/dog walker for 3 years before I moved away. She was absolutely fantastic. Always on time and my babies loved her - even my reactive dachshund who doesn’t usually get along with strangers. I'm not always able to accommodate daycare or pet sitting in my home because my dog is old and sometimes gets anxious, but reach out to me and we can discuss your dog's compatibility with mine! This is also why I'm not able to accommodate overnight stays. However, I can usually do up to three drop-in visits a day! I'll take care of pets in your home exactly as you tell me to. I love pets and am always down for a good pet cuddle, but if your pets don't like that, I will give them the space they need and act accordingly. :)

Let me know if your dog has any special needs or any behavioral triggers for me to pay attention to. If there are any medications/diet changes by time of day, I can easily make sure all of this is done properly. I am very detail-oriented and will make sure your pet is getting the kind of care they need.
A typical day
I love letting dogs take their time and sniff whatever they want on walks (it's like their morning newspaper as they say)! I always gauge the dog's engagement levels, and if they want to play then we play! But if the pet is more wanting just a human to love on and sit next to, I'm there for it all.

Availability
I'll be starting my final semester of law school in January, where my schedule will differ a little. Currently, I work 8-5 Mondays through Wednesdays and can accommodate early morning and evening/nighttime visits. My weekends are usually pretty free and I can be flexible if you reach out to me ahead of time!
