As a first time user of Rover, I did not know what to anticipate when it came to finding, communicating with, and booking a dog sitter. However, Kris completely surpassed all of my expectations! Shortly after responding to my request for doggy day care for our pup, Lily, Kris was on the phone with me and my wife, providing additional info on her background, home setup, and experience with animals — she's a veterinarian, by the way, so she knows what she's doing! It was clear to us that Kris has a deep love for animals, especially dogs, and we immediately knew that Lily would be in good hands. Kris asked us questions about how we usually treat and take care of Lily to maintain consistency and ensure that Lily was comfortable at all times. Her level of detail was truly amazing and reassuring for us, as Lily is very much our fur baby. Where Kris truly went above and beyond was that she inquired about our plans for the day and suggested options for where and when to meet to pick up and drop off Lily, happily working her schedule around ours. While looking after Lily, Kris sent us periodic updates and photos of Lily hiking and playing with her own wonderfully behaved and mild-mannered dog, Sydney. Kris also took Lily on two hikes, ensuring that she would be tuckered out for our drive back to Denver. We could not have been happier with Kris as a dog sitter. She treated Lily exactly how we do everyday and it was clear to us that Lily was completley at ease with her the entire time. Kris' flexibility and genuine love of animals make her the absolute best option when it comes to dog sitting! Because of this experience, I will be recommending Rover to all of my dog-owning friends. And for anyone looking for a sitter in the Edwards/Avon/Eagle-Vail area, you should absolutely book with Kris — she is the best!
