Professional Pet Sit, Inc.

Pet care experience

New clients interested in booking for Thanksgiving or Christmas holidays must first book a one night trial stay prior to booking for the holiday due to the number of dogs I will have boarding so that we can determine they are friendly with others. ** Dogs must be dog friendly and not have any separation anxiety or furniture chewing. We are doing COVID precaution drop offs in my front yard since my mother resides with me and is high risk. I look forward to meeting new pups and welcome my past clients too. I have always had pets all my life. As a child I brought in all the strays, and seemed to have a deep connection with all types of animals. So it was only natural for me to start up my own professional pet care business as an adult. Shortly after going into business, I incorporated and sought out as much complimentary training to make my business the best it could be; eg. Pet First Aid & CPR Certification, Sub-Q fluid and injection training, Professional behaviorist dog training, I've been to several national conferences, attended and hosted many pet care workshops, and I have studied pet nutrition, and am always reading and learning about pet illnesses and treatments. Fast forward 15 years, 100s of clients later, and after losing my own beautiful pets to age related illnesses, I opened my home to dog boarding to compliment my pet sitting business. It's the best of all worlds; I get to earn a living caring for animals and still have them in my home, my clients are happy because they know their pets are being spoiled, and the animals themselves feel like they get to go on doggy vacation. It's a Win/Win/Win! I am still doing my regular drop in visits for cat clients, and will only do drop in dog visits if a client leaves town with dogs if they have a doggy door with outside access. However, I prefer to watch dogs at my home since they will get much more attention that way. I am not taking new mid-day dog walk clients at this time. Dog boarding fees are accumulated daily from 8:00 AM through 8:00 AM the following morning. Please include the extra day when scheduling Rover if your are not picking up by 9:30 am the morning of the last day. Drop off and Pick up times: I am typically feeding dogs in the morning around 7:00/8:00 am. Evening feeding typically around 4:00/5:00 pm. So I prefer drop off at 9:00, 9:30. or 10:00 am. Or in the evenings at 6:00, 6:30, or 7:00 pm. I will coordinate around other drop offs and pick ups that day generally 30 minutes apart from each other. Other drop and pick up times may possibly be arranged depending on my schedule. If you have an early morning flight it is best to book your drop off the evening before. The 8 freeway traffic getting to the airport in the morning can be unpredictable at rush hour. My outside cat sits and/or mid-day dog walks are scheduled after dog drops and pick ups. Discount given for boarding client's with multiple dogs. Please inquire for rates. I do offer solo dog boarding for dogs who are not friendly with other dogs, however advanced reservations are required, and can be made if no other boarders are scheduled. The rate for solo boarders is $125 a day. Why I love dog sitting I have loved and owned dogs all my life. About my yard I have a large fenced front yard for dogs to run around and play ball if they enjoy that. My experience administering medication Yes, that is not a problem.

Greyhound parents rejoice! My two greys stayed with Kris for 18 days, by far the longest we’ve ever been apart, and they had a blast.

We are so thankful we found Kris. We loved that she had a big enclosed yard for Murphy to run around in and that there were other dogs for him to socialize with. We appreciated the consistent picture updates as well—we could tell he was having a blast. Thank you Kris for taking such great care of our little guy!

5 Stars!! With this being only our second time away from our 8 year old pup, I was so apprehensive about boarding. The last time we left him he didn't eat for three days. I must say from the first phone call I felt comfortable with him staying with Kris. She cares like they are her own. He went right into her yard and made himself at home. She sent pictures and updates throughout our trip. It was so great to be able to enjoy our vacation knowing he was happy and taken care of! I will definitely be booking with Kris next time we take a trip!

My elderly mother resides with me and is always willing to help out in letting the dogs out for an extra potty if I have to leave the house for other clients. When I am at a cat clients home I don't just feed and scoop, I also will play with them with their toys or sit with them and watch a little TV to make them feel loved like you never left.

Information Kris E. would like to know about your pet

I believe that you cannot judge a dog by the breed. A dog's temperament is generally accorded to how they were raised. Professional veterinarian dog behaviorists say that a puppy must be socialized by 4 months of age to avoid potential dog aggression towards other dogs. So I will take all breeds as long as they are social with other dogs.

A typical day

Here's where we'll take our walks if I have less than 3 pups boarding and depending on their size or if they pull on leash. Around my local neighborhood. Sometimes I take them up to the trails at the top of Mt Helix. Your dog's sleeping arrangement: Usually where ever they like. I do set up multiple pet beds in my spare room/office area, so when I am on the computer, they can hang with me in there if they choose. That is typically where they sleep. Time I'll spend with your dog: Because my elderly mother who loves dogs resides with me, there is someone at the house most of the time, even if I am out with another client.
