Pet care experience
I was raised as a man-cub in a pack of nine German Shepherds, and my cradle was often shared with rescue kitties. Now they say that’s a “bad idea” but it was considered adorable back in the 1980’s. Really, I lived with more than 20 dogs and cats in my household growing up, and have consistently cared for at least that many since then. I’ve got experience with puppies as well as geriatric babies, which usually just means more attention, often more patience, and sometimes more clean-up. I have some experience administering medications. I love to be active and outdoors.

Kris is a former college student of mine who has sat for our dog and two cats about ten times in the past few years. He’s the best petsitter we’ve ever had: meticulous, organized and great with our sometimes-nervous dog. He provides us with regular updates, looks after the house and even did an expert job painting my son’s room for a very reasonable price. He’s great with details— very responsible. We wish he’d move back to Ohio.
Kris is simply the best!!! His dedication, reliability, and genuine love for animals made leaving our furry family members in his care an easy decision. Availability
After working in retail for the last year, I’m changing gears and going freelance again, hoping to have a change of scenery and routine. I work part time doing home improvements & handyman stuff. Based in Traverse City, I can be very flexible with my availability in the area with some advance notice.
