How does your dog get along with other dogs of varying sizes? Are they current on their vaccinations? After booking, I have a questionnaire for you to complete that will provide me with detailed information about your dog's habits, routines, special needs, etc. so we can make their time with us as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

Time outside + walks around the neighborhood: We have a fenced-in back yard where we spend a lot of time when it's nice weather, and we've even dedicated a large portion of it specifically for pups--think mini dog park for socializing and off-leash fun. It's the perfect spot for dogs to run around, hang out with us and relax in the sun or shade at their leisure...and it's complete with a dog pool for cooling off on those really hot summer days! There are 3 parks within 2 blocks with tons of walking paths, and the nearby Cedar Lake Trail that are perfect for walks, playing fetch and rolling in the grass. For longer excursions, we walk the 3 mile loop around Lake Calhoun/Bde Maka Ska and cool off in the water (when it's safe and with your permission). When your dog stays with us, they can often expect at least one 1-3 mile walk per day (often two walks if it's nice weather or they have a little more energy to expend...or we can keep them short for dogs that aren't used to long distances), although it all depends on how much activity they've had outside in the yard that day. Time spent with your dog: I am fortunate to dog sit full-time, and Kash often works from home as well so we can both be with the dogs during the day. Occasionally in the evenings or on weekends we will go out to a restaurant patio or brewery taproom and bring Haley + Cariña along. If you would like us to bring your dog along for the outings as well, we would be more than happy to (if they are comfortable in public spaces). If you prefer your dog to stay at our house when we are out, we will either let them roam freely inside, limit their house access w/ gates or crate them (whichever they are used to at home when you are away). We also have DogTV for doggy viewing pleasure and often play calming dog music when we leave as well :) Nightime for your dog: We will respect your dog's normal sleeping arrangement, whether it's in a dog bed, on the floor, in a crate, or in our bed. Our dogs sleep in dog beds in our bedroom most often, but occasionally like to snuggle on the bed with us (especially on chilly nights).
