Compassionate, Authentic Pet Care

Pet care experience

Licensed and insured in the state of California, 20 years experience. Hi there, I’m Klove! I've worked in the veterinary medicine, training, pet and house sitting industry since I was 17. My life was surrounded by a variety of colorful animals-- anything from alpacas to zoomy puppies! Having worked in these industries, I know it can sometimes be nerve wracking to find the right care for your pets. I've worked in kennels before-- and honestly the amount of stress it puts the animals through, plus not getting the right amount of attention has led to many pet parents to seeking the right person to hang out with their special guys. As a psychology student, I have been extremely interested in the intelligence of animals-- in addition to having a close friend who worked closely with SPARKS (the organization that studies canine training techniques), I have been studying gentle parenting techniques and utilizing them in my training methods. I also use science backed methods such as Do As I Do and respect the animal's autonomy. Any questions about none dog or cat animals, you can message me separately for my rates on those, as well as for independent training sessions. Since I have worked in the veterinary industry, I am particularly sensitive to medically fragile and senior dogs. I believe open communication and honesty is the most important thing and one of the questions I will ask is to check to see how often you want pictures and updates on your best friend. I look forward to meeting you and your extraordinary best bud! -With open arms, Klove URGENT: due to the emerging respiratory illness being found in dogs, limited slots are available and equipment and handler will both be thoroughly sanitized between each pet.

Great with my cat! Clearly cared about ensuring that my cat was happy and healthy while I went out of town. Very communicative about everything happening and very responsive to all of my requests. Will definitely be booking again soon and would highly recommend!

Klove took great care of our cat while we were out of town for a long weekend. She was communicative, shared some pictures and videos, and ensured our cat got all her foods and meds as needed. We would definitely ask her Klove's support again!

Klove is wonderful with our dog, Obi! Quick to bond with him and learn his routine. Would absolutely recommend Klove as a pet sitter and dog walker.

Safety, trust & environment

As a behaviorist, my communication skills with animals and humans is excellent. My experience and using 2 leashes during walks for security reasons makes me an excellent candidate for you and your pets. I am constantly learning and growing, and often learn from the animals themselves!

Information Klove E. would like to know about your pet

Personality, routine, how they interact with humans and other dogs. Triggers-- are we scared of loud noises? Do we react to animals? How is our recall? Any medical issues?

A typical day

For dogs, depending on the activity level and what they're interested in. We might work with puzzle toys, go on long walks, or just hang out and snuggle. Beginner scent work is a great way to get to know your pup and to stimulate their brains. Cats-- generally depending on the personality. Some friends are very shy, some friends wake up ready to cause chaos! For shy friends, I let them warm up to me in their own time, sometimes I'll leave treats out and just sit and wait for them to make the first move. For more chaotic or high energy friends, a string toy to get that energy out usually works wonders. For when we get extra sassy like playing with hands, I'll redirect onto something soft so they can get their natural needs met.
