Pet care experience
Spanning my grade-school years to my adult years, I've found myself working to help care for domestic animals of all sorts; neighbors have relied on me to feed and comfort their cats on long trips, and I've helped station houses for the FDNY foster and care for dogs big and small until they've been able to find their forever homes. My most unusual circumstance was taking care of an injured fledgling pigeon found in heavy rain flooding for two weeks before we could place him into a bird rescue in Manhattan -- he was happily released back into the wild six months ago. I love animals -- I have such immense respect for their resiliency and honest vulnerability. Having to occasionally go on last-minute trips myself, I wholeheartedly understand the need for trusted pet care while you are away from home; I can tell the difference in my pets' demeanor when I come back from 1-2 weeks away, and their pet sitter has been there for them and cared for them. It's hard to describe the feeling of relief that brings me. I want to offer you that same peace of mind.
Reviews
Second time booking with Klara and she was amazing as always! She gave detailed and descriptive report cards through the weeklong drop-in visits and kept me updated on my house. My 2 cats were happy and healthy. Highly recommend.
Klara is amazing! Not only did we come back home to 2 happy kitties, our fern was well hydrated. She went above and beyond with her detailed report cards and took our mail and packages in also. Highly recommend!
This was my first time using Rover and my first time ever using a cat sitter. Klara is great. Full stop. From communication to care she’s on top of everything and professional. She looked after my fur baby, sent updates with fotos, and took care of my apartment while I was gone. Super reliable. If she’s available then book her. Seriously.
Klara provides such an excellent service. Super responsive, professional and really sweet with Kumo. Most of all really appreciated her consistency- knew Kumo was being well looked after. Klara went above and beyond. Will definitely use her services again-highly recommend!!

I have two cats at home, so accommodating pets in-home for me is a bit difficult, but I have a timed feeder for them and the ability to drop-by during my work hours, which allows me to focus on your pets during the day. I'm always excited to go on walks (both dogs and cats) and have ample energy for play time and grooming, but am assertive enough to make sure that more challenging pet interactions -- such as medication administration and crating -- happen when they need to.
Information Klara W. would like to know about your pet
Knowing how your pet behaves around other animals is paramount; we all have different temperaments -- people and pets alike -- but being prepared is super important to me so I can ensure the best time for your fur friend. Anxieties or behavioral ticks are also great -- it'll help me better assess the normalcy of your pets' behavior.
A typical day
Finding out their favorite play styles is super important to me, and then we'll adjust and customize the day's itinerary depending on their interests. Loves playing games? We'll find a big open space to do just that. Loves exploring new places? I'll take them to their favorite parks, and a few of mine to boot (Alley Pond and Ft. Totten Park are great places for dogs to stretch their legs, and in Brooklyn, Prospect Park is unbeatable for trails and greenspaces for your dog to explore).

I work the graveyard shift, so I am often free from about noontime till late nights -- perfect for those mid-day walks or drop in visits even on the days I'm working; and I also relish my ability to just be physically present in house sitting during daylight hours, making sure your pets feel like someone is there to care for them. I have 3 to 4 days off work a week, so I can accommodate round-the-clock care at least half the week.
