Pet care experience
I am a furbaby enthusiast with lot’s of love and energy. By day I spend my time as a Behavioral Therapist and Mental Health Practitioner for children on the Autism Spectrum Disorder. Outside of work I spend time with my furbabies hiking, camping, running, boating, and kayaking (yes, kayaking with the dogs on board). All of my life I have had pets from dogs, birds, hamsters, rabbit, horses, fish, ferrets, guinea pigs, and cats. The most experience is ruffly 30 years with dogs from 5 to 70 pounds between the ages of 6 weeks until the awesome age of 14 years. Each pet has their own unique personality and I love to learn about each one as an individual. It’s fun for me to figure out what makes each pet happy and try to bring out the best of them and create an improved quality of life.

Kjerstin is a lovely person & we can't wait to have her walk our puppy again soon! She was able to come on short notice & walked our pup for a bit over the 1/2 hour scheduled. :)
Kjerstin was an excellent drop-in sitter for my cat. She was very responsive to messages and updated me during each drop-in. She paid close attention to my cat's special dietary needs and his feeding schedule. She also kept my cats eating space super tidy (my cat is a messy eater). Kjerstin is very kind and I would absolutely book her again!

I have had experiences with all types of pups. I am currently a mommy of two rescue pups and have some experience with behavioral issues. But, above all I believe every dog needs to be loved and am willing to work with the pups and their families. I understand how difficult it is when choosing to leave your family member(s) in the hands of strangers so I find it very important to do meet and greets as it will ensure a more safe, calm, and happier experience for everyone.
A typical day
I love bringing my pups to dog parks, especially the Minnehaha Off-Leash Dog Park. I love to run with my pups when I am training for Marathons and especially enjoy bringing them to swim in the lake for my older pup whom has some hip concerns. I also enjoy throwing a ball around, using my tennis ball launchers, or frisbee if the pup enjoys that kind of fun.
