When I was a child, I always wanted a dog but couldn’t because my dad was allergic. This led to me spending a lot of time with my friends’s dogs and through that, I learned how to take care of dogs. In my teenage years, I travelled a lot and was frequently put in situations where I had to take care of dogs that weren’t mine. Even though I was in some of these places for a short period of time, I was able to develop a good relationship with the dogs. I would frequently take them on hikes, to the dog park, out for a swim in the lake, and occasionally to the dog store for a special treat. I would also have to feed and (on occasion) bathe the dogs.

Kiyen is GREAT! She is punctual, has great energy, asks wonderful questions about the expected dog behaviors and their triggers. I love that she uses the app to track the activity. We definitely recommend her to anyone if you are looking for a dog walker. She walks our two large dogs in the neighborhood.

I used to travel a lot and take care of dogs so I’m used to taking care of dogs in different environments. I understand that each dog is different, so I’d prefer to get to know the dog and the owner first to learn about the dog’s personality and daily routines to make sure that the dog is as happy as possible. I also understand that dog owners would love to receive regular updates on how their fur baby is doing throughout the day. I can guarantee consistent communication before, during, and after I take care of your dog along with photo updates.

I personally like to know how a dog reacts to other humans and other dogs. I want to know what the dog likes and dislikes so that I can provide the best care possible. It would also be easier for me to know the dog’s daily routine so that they can continue their regular lifestyle. I also need to know where all the accessories/equipment/food is for the dog I saw that I am well-equipped to take care of them.
A typical day
I love going on hikes and walks, so if your dog enjoys hikes I can definitely bring them on a hike. I also love taking dogs to the dog park so they get an opportunity to run around, be themselves, and meet other dogs. On occasion I’ll bring the dog for a special treat.

Availability
I work from home full-time on a flexible schedule so I’m available to housesit or walk your dog during the day. With a couple days notice, I can also walk your dog during the evenings as well. I’m occasionally free on weekends to to take care of your dog. I’m a very active person who loves walks and hikes. I usually hike/walk alone so taking care of your dog would be a benefit to both of us as well. I also enjoy going for post-hike snacks so that could easily be arranged for your dog as well 😊 I’m used to travelling so house sitting for me is not a problem. I always make sure to leave a place the same (if not better) than I found it.
