Call me Kit! I’ve adored pets for as long as I can remember and grew up with cats (and other small pets). When I was in middle school, my family finally added dogs to the mix, though I’ve loved them for years before then. In 2021, I finally got a dog of my own who has quickly taught me how involved loving a pet can be; she is medically complicated, high drive, and anxious. Having her has made me an astute dog watcher in terms of recognizing dog body language and signs of pain or discomfort. She has helped me learn how to teach dogs too, as well as help shyer dogs tolerate some grooming. I have experience working with young animals, special needs pets, rescued pets, and shelter animals as well as experience grooming dogs in a home or salon environment. I enjoy providing compassion and understanding for the animals of our lives and helping them live more enriching and loving lives.
