Pet care experience
Growing up with a variety of pets since a young age (rodents, cats and dogs) my love for animals gained my first job at Pets at home where I worked for 6 years gaining experience and knowledge in a variety of animals including their health and dietary needs, obtaining an in-house qualification in Animal Husbandry. I then went on to complete a degree in Adult Nursing and now I work part time at the local Hospital as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. My love for animals has forever continued, and our beautiful dog sadly passed away earlier this year after 16 wonderful years. Therefore our house and set up is dog friendly. We have 2 wonderful boys age 5 and 7 who have grown up with dogs all their life and have a variety of experience with small- medium dog breeds. Therefore, it is vital your pet is used to children. We are a family who are keen on fitness and enjoy daily walks which we will enjoy with your pet and have a lot of local parks in the area we like to explore. We are keen travellers and therefore cannot commit to a dog or our own again yet, therefore we would love to board others and care and love them for you whilst you are away. Any questions or concerns please get in touch.
Reviews
Kirsty and her family have looked after my little westie Toby on several occasions over the last few months, from a few days to a long weekend. Toby is always happy to go and stay and I enjoy the daily photos and messages from Kirsty to know he is settled and behaving. Kirsty is very accommodating to my enquiries and messages back quickly. She is flexible and honest and will use her again for sure.
Our beautiful dachshund cross had a great time with Kirsty and her family. It was the first time we have left her , as she’s still only a puppy at 1 year old, but she went in with a wagging tail and didn’t want to leave. Kirsty sent me photos of her stay which put me at ease. I especially loved the photo of her 2 boys and her snuggled on the sofa watching cats and dogs! We won’t hesitate to use Kirsty again in the future. Thanks again!
Kirsty and the members of her household looked after my 7 year old dachshund for a week. He had a fabulous week. I felt he was welcomed into the family as one of their own and they catered to his specific attributes with no issues at all. I found the experience of leaving him daunting initially but I felt very reassured by the loving caregiver responsible family who embraced him while heartedly. I would not hesitate to use Kirsty again and would highly recommend the service provided.
