*Just getting back to dog sitting after a busy term at university so I have lots of availability :) Growing up with over eight dogs (of all shapes, shades and sizes), has given me a wealth of knowledge of how to care for dogs. Additionally, my mother being a vet helped me appreciate exactly what it takes for a dog to stay healthy, and how to recognize when they are ill. Since I moved to Canada, I have missed my dogs and so I would like to help other people with busy lives take care of their dogs. I am an active person and can take your dog on walks/runs/hikes depending on the dog's preference! I am working from 8am-4pm weekdays so other than that, I am able to house sit or board.

Kirsty looked after my German shepherd for 2 weeks and she left my apartment beautifully clean. However, my neighbours let me know that at times she left my dog alone for 12 hours at a time (e.g from 9am to 9pm) and that they had to intervene and let her out because she was barking. This is of course not what I expected, and I don’t know what would have happened if my neighbours were not around to help out.
Kristy took care of my two Parrotlet’s while I was away. She was on time for her visits, and carefully followed all of my instructions. My birds seemed to have been comfortable around her. I am very happy with the service Kristy provided and will use her help again in the future!
Kirsty is a kind and caring person who loves dogs. Growing up the daughter of a veterinarian has prepared her well for looking after dogs.
I am a veterinarian in Zambia specializing in small animals and horses, and Kirsty is my daughter. She has grown up with animals as we have 11 dogs of our own at home! (An occupational hazard homing the unwanted) Kirsty is a responsible, caring person with lots of empathy for animals. She is very trustworthy, prompt and respectful of other people. Kirsty likes exercising herself so I am sure she will enjoy the company of and playing with the dogs.
