Doggone Ready to Care for Your Pets
Pet care experience
Hi, my name's Kirstin and I'm a huge animal lover. I have personally owned cats, dogs, birds, hamsters, a turtle, a chinchilla and hedgehogs over the years so I'm comfortable with all sorts of pets. I currently have 2 dogs, 3 cats, a hedgehog & a chinchilla but have ways to separate all animals as needed. I have a male boxer mix named Dunkin and a female American bulldog/shepherd mix named Waffles. All of my pets are spayed/neutered and up to date on shots/preventative medication. Waffles was diagnosed with Addison's disease in early 2018 so I'm familiar with giving shots/medication as needed. This is not a contagious disease and with the proper care/medication she is able to live a healthy, normal life. I always grew up having pets and have been around them all my life, it’s something I really enjoy so taking care of your pet isn’t just a job for me. I would be sure to treat your pets as my own (which means they’ll get lots of love, time and attention) I typically only board for one household at a time but do make exceptions for repeat clients or depending on the circumstances. Because of this I tend to book quickly so I recommend reaching out as soon as possible to see what dates I have available. Thank you for taking the time to read this, please let me know if you have any questions I'm looking forward to watching your pet(s)! Rate Info; Boarding stays are calculated in 24-hour increments, with some flexibility as I do allow a 2 hour grace period. For overnight stays lasting longer than 26 hours, a daycare fee may be added in addition to the stay. To avoid getting charged any additional fees after a night of boarding, please make sure that your dog is picked up between the 24-26 hour mark.
Reviews
I was extremely happy and if I could give 6 stars I would! My 2 pups were treated like they were one of their own. I received updates and pictures regularly which was very much appreciated. There was detailed communication during booking and during the stay. My dogs were happy and relaxed when I picked them up. I will definitely use them again!
Kirstin was amazing. Our Bailey was in great hands while we were gone. We received updates and photos 2-3 times a day. It was clear that Bailey was treated with love and care the whole time we were gone. She even had an amazing fenced in back yard to play and relax! Thanks so much Kirstin!!

We have a 5ft high, fully fenced in yard that allows your pet(s) to run and play with our pets safely but we also never leave them outside or in the house unsupervised. I also have multiple crates & gates to separate pets as needed. We do require all dogs to be crate trained (meaning they can go into a crate without trying to escape/barking/crying) and typically they will be crated at night because that is the safest option since we can't watch them or ensure their safety while we’re asleep. Our dogs sleep in our bed with us and while we do sometimes allow other Rover clients to sleep with us as well, that's not always possible.

Information Kirstin P. would like to know about your pet
Before boarding or sitting for any new pet, a Meet & Greet is required for my safety as well as your pets. After I’ve booked with you in the past, we don’t need to have another meeting unless you feel it’s necessary or if there have been any changes to your pets behavior/care needs. I need to know if your dog(s)/pet(s) are friendly with other dogs/animals, if they have separation anxiety or any other behavioral concerns. If your pet isn't pet friendly, we may still be able to work something out depending on the severity as I do have the space to separate the pets but we would need to discuss the concerns in more detail before scheduling a meeting or stay as our home may not be the best fit since we do have multiple pets. I also would like to know of any other behavioral issues such as if your dog is territorial about space/food/toys or if they get anxious or aggressive around new people/places. We do always feed everyone separately as a precaution but it is still something I need to know prior to their stay for the safety of myself and the animals. I would also like to know if you typically your crate your pet(s), if they're potty trained and what their potty schedule is like, if they have any allergies or any additional needs I haven’t mentioned so that I am fully aware of how to give your dog/pets the best care. I know this is a lot of information but I want to ensure I’m able to take the best care of your pet(s) while you’re away so you can have a relaxing trip. I also board cats or other animals as well so please feel free to reach out if you have another pet that isn't listed on my profile.
A typical day
Since we have a large fenced yard there is plenty of space for the dog(s) to run, play and get enough exercise/potty breaks. My neighborhood also has sidewalks/parks nearby that we can walk your pup if you prefer that. We're fond of playing fetch, enjoying peanut butter kongs (with your permission) or just snuggling on the couch depending on our mood. I’m also a runner so if you’re dog is into that I’d be happy to take them running with me! We just ask that you please provide a secure harness/leash/etc. if you do want your pup walked to ensure their safety.

Availability
My husband Sam and I both work from home full time which makes our house perfect for taking care of your pet(s) during their stay as we’re here to let them out when needed and to keep them company. There may be certain times when we both need to leave to run errands/etc. but typically we’re gone for less than 3 hours and during this time, all pets will be crated/separated.
